Production Planner II


About the role:

The Production Planner is responsible for planning and scheduling production activities to meet customer service level objectives while always assuring a continuous production flow.  In addition supporting, monitoring and maintaining, in an accurate and timely manner, work-in-process, manufacturing schedules for top level and subassemblies, inventory levels, system integrity, to achieve the materials management objectives. 


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the daily, weekly and monthly planning processes using Rapid Response tool.
  • Proactively manage and communicate backorder and/or risks.
  • Achieve service level and on time delivery (OTDM) objectives.
  • Facilitate manufacturing planning handshake during the SI&OP Process and communicates constraints and performance to plan.
  • Manage net requirements, past due production orders, past due planned orders and order reservations.
  • Engage with purchasing, core teams, and global supply partners as needed.
  • Provide inventory analysis as required or requested.
  • Actively participate in the Continuous Improvement Process  contributing VIP’s.
  • Maintains master data for make and procured material as required.
  • Facilitate the successful achievement of new product schedules.
  • Demonstrate ability to train an associate on the Planning Processes.


What we’re looking for you:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachlors Degree in Supply Chain Management or applicable field
  • 3 to 5 years of relavelant experience.
  • Proficient Excel skills


Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP MRP and Rapid Response experience
  • Knowledge & experience with Sales & Operations Planning process
  • Experience with vertically integrated sites/ planning (Components, Sub-Assemblies-Finished Goods)
  • APICS certification
  • Experience in driving continuous improvements
