Quality Manager II – Quality Lead Alpharetta

About the role:

As the head of quality for the Boston Scientific Alpharetta site (Management representative) provide overall direction and quality leadership for the Alpharetta manufacturing and Pathology businesses.  Create and execute a compelling quality strategy to support this high growth business. The quality member of the Alpharetta senior leadership team with split responsibilities between the manufacturing and Pathology businesses. The Quality Manager will be a hands-on team member, driving key projects and compliance activities. The Quality Manager must be able to adapt to a continually evolving environment and thrive in an autonomous and deadline-oriented workplace.

 

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Develops and implements strategic goals related to quality improvement and organizational needs
  • Ensures compliance and ongoing accreditation with applicable regulatory agencies (FDA, Notified Bodies, CAP, CLIA, OSHA, HIPAA, JCAHO, State Agencies, etc)
  • Plans and implements standards for medical policies and practices in compliance with patient care protocols, laws and regulations
  • Participates in the development and maintenance of a company culture characterized by highly motivated employees with clear understanding of their roles, a willingness to embrace quality issues and a strong focus on customer satisfaction
  • Develops metrics that foster continual quality improvement and customer satisfaction as part of an overall Quality Management System
  • Works in close collaboration with clients and sales team to reduce defects
  • Enhances employee development, training, and compliance
  • Maintains effective cross functional communications
  • Identifying and developing tools and training that facilitate BEST4 processes, while also working to compliment the Management Review, Complaint Handling, Clinical, Med Safety, Regulatory, New product development and Sustaining engineering processes
  • Working independently and with various levels across the organization
  • Supporting and owning applicable CAPAs
  • Supporting VIP processes and continuous process improvement

 

What we’re looking for:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 7 years of healthcare experience
  • At least 3 years of experience leading an effective team
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills; written and oral
  • Hands-on orientation with a strong work ethic
  • A strong focus on customer satisfaction
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
  • Experience within Risk Management and Quality Systems management
  • Project management experience
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Solid computer skills required including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Manufacturing and/or lab management experience
