About the role:

The Alpharetta Finance Team is looking for a highly motivated Senior Cost Analyst to join our team. This individual will analyze business results, support the costing process for new and existing products, and provide analytic support that assists the organization in making strategic business investment decisions.  The ideal candidate possesses strong relationship building and communication skills.


Your responsibilities include:

  • Build relationships with production unit and manufacturing plant leadership teams
  • Perform ad hoc analysis including overhead, product cost, and make vs buy models.
  • Represent Finance on key initiatives.
  • Prepare and post journal entries as required for accurate GAAP reporting.
  • Deliver upon key performance metrics and service levels agreed with business partners.
  • Perform all responsibilities consistent with our internal control environment and ensures compliance with GAAP and BSC Financial policies and procedures.
  • Drive continuous improvement of processes and analytics.  Document and maintain work instructions.
  • Generate reports on month closing costs, scrap, efficiencies, labor and any other cost group for managerial decision making.
  • Contribute to defining strategies which allow continuous improvement
  • Perform all job duties and responsibilities in an ethical manner.  Maintain confidentiality of data and knowledge as required.  Comply with all corporate and professional guidelines regarding personal integrity and business ethics.
  • Must comply with requirements of ISO 14001 and BSC Environmental, Health and Safety standards and flow procedures and instructions related to these standards.

What we’re looking for:

Minimal qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 3 - 8 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Very strong analytical skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Must be a quick learner and able to engage well with internal and external customers
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills required, Financial tools (SAP, Business Objects) preferred

Preferred qualifications:

  • CPA
