Director of IT Hosting & Cloud Services

Purpose Statement

The Director, IT Hosting & Cloud Services will provide global leadership, vision and strategy direction over the following IT teams: Cloud Services, Window/Unix/Linux Server, 24x7x365 command center, database administration and business continuity. They will lead these teams in the achievement of organizational goals and guide, coach, direct, and develop direct reports driving those practices throughout their organization. This role will lead critical strategic initiatives such as Cloud Transformation, Next Generation Command Center, and the IT Business Continuity Program. They will be responsible for key technology roadmap decisions to drive performance, innovation, regulatory compliance, and best practices.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive and Execute Cloud Transformation strategy.
  • Provide global hosting infrastructure support for BSC’s employees across 115+ locations
  • Manage ~75 person globally-dispersed organization including off-shore mix of vendors partner staff augmentation
  • Effective OPEX/CAPEX management of $35M+ budgets and annual operating plan development
  • Owns development/execution of overall BSC hosting technology roadmaps, vendor selections, and private/public cloud mix
  • Achieves/improves SLAs, root cause/corrective actions & customer satisfaction metrics
  • Assures that systems and technology enable the business and business processes, deliver information for decision making, or connect employees, customers, suppliers and shareholders with easy to use, available, reliable, serviceable, responsive and cost-effective systems and/or technology.
  • Re-enforce and reward focus on BSC Quality Vision, and ensure the IT solutions that support BSC’s quality system within their teams are compliant
  • Foster a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. federal/country and regulatory requirements).

 

Quality System Requirements

  • In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
  • Assures that appropriate resources (personnel, tools, etc.) are maintained in order to assure Quality System compliance and adherence to the BSC Quality Policy.
  • Establishes and promotes a work environment that supports the Quality Policy and Quality System.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Strong people leadership skills
  • 15+ years of experience in various IT roles.
  • 10+ years of experience in various IT Management roles
  • Experience leveraging off-shore badged and vendor resources
  • Strong financial acumen, experience in managing large projects, budgets & vendor contracts
  • Strong business acumen and communication skills to drive business value discussions with executive leadership

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree
  • Public cloud services knowledge and cloud migration experience
  • Medical device, regulated industry and/or Digital Health experience
  • Mix of application development and infrastructure leadership experiences
