About This Role:
Manages activities and allocates resources within the Manufacturing Engineering organization, to ensure engineering support is provided to meet department and company goals.  Coordinates manufacturing engineering department activities to ensure that equipment and processes required for each new product are developed, qualified, validated and designed for manufacturability.  Identifies areas and means to improve manufacturing processes and equipment and product quality on existing product and processes, as well as in support of new products.

  • Leads and mentors a team of employees in the achievement of organizational goals.  Guides, coaches, and develops direct reports, and drives best practices throughout the organization.

  • Responsible for implementation of continuous improvement projects and new product programs that will require product/process validation and proper engineering documentation.
  • Builds strategic partnerships to further departmental and organizational objectives.
  • Develops strategies and manages execution to improve safety, quality, service, cost.
  • Leads activities related to business unit strategy development, performance, and financial forecasting.
  • Develops, monitors, and appropriately adjusts the annual budget for department(s).
  • Determines appropriate staff levels, schedules and resources needed for all engineering projects.
  • Represents operations and interfaces with divisional partners for strategy development.
  • Must comply with requirements of ISO 14001 and BSC Environmental, Health and Safety standards and follow procedures and instructions related to these standards.
  • Monitors compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. compliance with FDA, BSI, EEO regulations, etc.).

What We’re Looking For:
Required Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of engineering / related work experience
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent Technology field
  • Team oriented approach with demonstrated track record of strong cross-functional collaboration, influence, and project management enabling highly effective project teams.
  • Proficient in problem solving and process improvement methodologies
  • Passion to learn new technologies and develop new solutions.
  • Ability to concisely and clearly communicate technical issues/risks across all levels of the organization.
  • Previous experience with managing and executing new product deliverables
  • Medical device or another regulated industry experience preferred
