About the role:
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join the Boston Scientific Global Customer Care & Capital Equipment team. In this role you will lead the successful delivery of key projects aligned to our business objectives. Most projects you will work on are typically large and highly complex but can vary based on the needs of the organization. Projects often span multiple divisions and regions and can vary in length from 3 months to over a year. This is a critical role in helping us achieve the organization’s strategic goals and an excellent opportunity for an experienced candidate looking to make an impact within BSC.

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role has a hybrid work mode, with expectations of this individual being based out of our Arden Hills, MN, location at least 3 days per week.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead programs/projects assigned to you, with minimal guidance, to define project objectives and deliverables, identify and manage key risks and issues, and ensure project achievement.
- Capable of managing multiple projects at one time and prioritizing work to keep all projects on schedule, within budget, and delivering to expected scope and quality requirements.
- Lead detailed project planning workshops and participate in program level planning workshops where needed.
- Utilize appropriate project management methodologies and tools to successfully deliver on projects. This includes creating a Project Charter, developing and maintaining a detailed project schedule with critical path visibility, performing stakeholder management, actively managing a RAID log, conducting proper project change control/management, and ensuring accurate project financials.
- Effectively communicate project expectations, deliverables, and status to team members, stakeholders, and leaders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement that supports BSC’s Quality Policy, Quality System, and the appropriate regulations for the area they support.
- Perform project closure activities, such as conducting project post-mortems and translating lessons learned into process improvements.
- Help establish PM best practices by identifying and proactively improving existing processes and tools.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 8+ years experience leading cross-functional, large-scale, and complex projects.
- Must be able to operate effectively and efficiently with little direction and be comfortable with ambiguity.
- Knowledge of and experience working in Global Supply Chain, manufacturing, and/or a regulated industry.
- Willing to travel up to 25%.
Preferred qualifications and competencies:
- PMP certification is a plus.
- Strong executive presence, comfortable communicating with and presenting to all levels, and able to tailor communications to the audience.
- Strong organization, execution, and communication skills, and the ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in establishing and/or maturing Project Management best practices.
