Purpose

  • Develops software systems and/or provides software systems testing and validation in support of R&D Engineering & Manufacturing.
  • Responsible for the analysis, design, programming, debugging and modification of software applications and testing solutions. Work often involves analog and digital hardware and software operating systems.
  • Responsible for developing, applying and maintaining quality standards for software products.
  • Responsible for the design and execution of validation documents, programs and strategies to support the implementation of the Validation Master Plans at the BSCI facility. Drive and execution of validation and qualification activities. To provide validation mentoring, support and expertise in the definition, development and test of the complete validation lifecycle for test method validation, process validation, facility, utility and equipment qualification, software validation, raw material and commodity qualification

 

Responsibilities

  • Working with colleagues to design, develop, debug, modify, test software and systems by using current tools, analysis techniques, and technologies.
  • Designs, develops, debugs, modifies, test software programs by using C#, Labview, Visual Studio.net, HMI and PLC Programming (e.g. Rslogix, WinCC etc) and other current programming languages and technologies.
  • Test software utilizing integration and black box testing methodologies.
  • The execution and completion of test, software, process, systems and equipment validations and revalidations in accordance with Validation Master Plans.
  • Documents software development and/or test development by writing documents, reports, memos, change requests. Methods used are determined by approved procedures and standards.
  • Providing guidance and assistance regarding documentation and requirements for test method validation, process validation, facility, utility and equipment qualification, software validation, raw material and commodity qualification.
  • Analyzes, evaluates, verifies requirements, software and systems by using software engineering practices.
  • Investigates, researches, selects software designs, operating systems and/or practices.
  • Ability to effectively work in technical cross-functional teams to develop new products.
  • Continuously improves process and work methodologies by interfacing with peers/cross-functional groups and analyzing activities to improve workflow and work processes.
  • Experience with PLC tools (e.g. RSLogix,Wincc)
  • Understands Smarty Factory and Data analytics for CLN Site
  • Ensures that the designs are Cost Efficient, Designed for Manufacture and Reliable
  • Prepares and Performs Design reviews
  • Documents software development by writing documents, reports, memos, change requests. Methods used are determined by approved procedures and standards.
  • Tracks software development effort by creating and maintaining records in the approved tracking management tool.
  • Solves engineering problems by analyzing the situation and recommending corrective or alternative actions.
  • Analyzes, evaluates, and verifies systems by using engineering practices.
  • Investigates, researches, selects tools, equipment and practices.

     

    Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electronics/Electrical Engineering or related field of study
  • Analyzing software requirements and design, testing, and change requests
  • Software integration, and black box testing methodologies
  • 4+ years industry experience
