About the Role…
The Quality Engineer II will serve as a Quality representative to improve awareness, visibility and communication on quality initiatives and objectives, as well as support assigned departmental, functional, site, divisional and corporate quality goals and priorities. This role will support quality initiatives and ensure compliance to medical device regulations and BSC Quality System requirements with a continuous improvement mindset.
 

In this role you will..

  • Identify and implement effective process control systems to support the development, qualification, and on-going manufacturing of products to meet or exceed internal and external requirements
  • Lead in the implementation of assurances, process controls and CAPA systems designed to meet or exceed internal and external requirements
  • Apply effective, systematic problem-solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating and resolving quality issues
  • Assure the development and execution of streamlined business systems to effectively identify and resolve quality issues    
  • Support quality disciplines, decisions and practices
  • Participate in CAPA and continuous improvement projects as appropriate
  • Perform other duties as necessary or required by the department or organization
     

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a medical device or other GMP environment
  • Prior experience presenting to internal and external stakeholders on complex technical topics
  • Knowledge of quality system requirements as stated within 21 CFR Part 820 and ISO 13485
  • Experience writing and reviewing concise technical documents
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Willingness to travel up 10% internationally
     

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Previous experience in Quality Systems or Country/Distribution QA or having experience in working in the Commercial/Supply Chain organization
  • Project management and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Experience with auditing and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Good working knowledge of SAP
  • Prior knowledge of sterilization processes
