Purpose

Supports HEMA strategy definition and development of the budget for UK & Ireland embedding the knowledge of the health care system(s) and local trends.

Supports HEMA local leadership in creating reimbursement and market access opportunities by promoting BSC with relevant stakeholders (e.g. governmental bodies, funding and reimbursement groups, KOLs, etc.), customizing existing Health Economics models and working with local data such as HES and hospital micro-costings to inform commercial strategy and support business cases for new procedures and device use

Responsibilities

Performance excellence

  • Accountable for creating economic and clinical evidence (e.g. dossiers, modeling, proposals, study protocols, etc.) through market research and analysis, with the aim of supporting reimbursement requests for new and existing BSC product.
  • Develops business cases to support customers both internal and external
  • Supports the Director/Manager of the region/country in gathering and assessing external stakeholder needs, effectively communicating them internally and embedding them into the models.

Collaborative excellence

  • Provides operative support to internal stakeholders (eg. Sales Leadership, HCP, new product launch teams, Clinical Affairs, etc.), providing Health Economics and market access data/insights/capabilities.
  • Collaborates with Sales and HCP, providing trainings/insights and specific information and data analysis on reimbursement and market access topics.
  • Engages external stakeholders to support BSC reimbursement and market access strategies.
  • Develops relationships with patient groups & advocates
  • Develops a Government Affairs interest and focus working with APPG’s and MP’s to improve patient access to vital treatments
  • Represents Boston within relevant ABHI and IMSTA focus groups

Skills & Experience

  • Working in market access currently in pharma or med tech.
  • Life Sciences or Health Economics Degree, with Post Graduate HE qualification ideal.
  • Working knowledge of the NHS and how it is structured, funded and reimbursed
  • Experience of working in Government Affairs, with Patient Groups, or in PR and Communications also of interest.
