About the Role:


This opportunity will make you a part of Boston Scientific internship program that offers on-the-job training or project performed by university senior students at a company. The role will include activities provide under supervisory direction, assist in the daily support of products, processes, materials, and equipment in order to achieve production goals (i.e., quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and safety). The internship period will be for a period of up to 12 months, and the student will receive a subsidy during his or her period on the company. In this specific role, the intern will to bring clarity and consistency to Sustaining Engineering documents through accurate and concise writing as well as effective use of document format. In summary, this writer will write, translate, revise, organize, plan, summarize, edit, and proofread technical documents on a daily basis.


Your Responsibilities Include:


  • Provide documentation support for design change activities
  • Provide administrative support on a timely and accurate basis
  • Co-author or contribute to the creation and revision of Sustaining Engineering documents
  • Support documentation tasks (e.g. write, draft, edit, proofread) as part of documentation control responsibilities
  • Make suggestions or corrections in order to make a document clearer and more concise
  • Clearly and correctly state and summarize technical information and conclusions in documents
  • Review and peer-edit the work of other writers to ensure high quality standards within the technical writing group
  • Organize and transform raw data into usable tables and graphs
  • Create the draft or framework of a document for the engineer or team to use as their working document
  • Guide and coach department members on how to improve their writing skills
  • Independently executes small scale projects related to documentation responsibilities
  • Effectively self directs and prioritizes tasks with only occasional counseling and supervision.
  • Expertly applies BSC data management tools (PLM) associated with clerical documentation tasks and can coach/direct other users
  • Manage, organize, and communicate project information and project activities
  • Participate in project meetings
  • Organize and lead department meetings
  • Assist team members on some other not-writing-related tasks such as presentation skills, pronunciation, etc.


What We’re Looking For: 


  • At least 80% of studies completed in English or applicable field (Bachelor degree or above)
  • Currently enrolled in the major
  • English Level required: C1:(90%)
  • Excellent writing skills in English
  • Full Time availability (Desirable)
  • Availability for a temporary position (12 months).
