Day in the Life of the EMEA Commercial IT Program Manager Commercial Solutions:

 

 

You will start your day by reviewing the progress of optimization initiatives aimed at enhancing our Commercial Solutions. You will lead the regional program, help to define and drive the strategy for the EMEA solutions by driving process improvements by cleansing outdated ways of working in the solutions and obsolete data within our environments, and you will drive harmonizing solutions and processes across our EMEA business, working closely with our customers to drive the changes required to achieve our goals. You will work closely with Global Process Leads, partner with CoE and Platform Leads, and with the Commercials Services team to align on the strategy, priorities, potential impact, and dependencies across the portfolio and project execution.

 

Example of initiatives you would be leading:

  • Driving the program for Patient Engagement and Data for EMEA – ensuring compliance and delivery
  • End-to-End initiative ROI for Campaigns related to Lead creation to Opportunity Management till Sales conversion – ensuring all technologies supporting are adjusted accordingly. These changes expand beyond the scope of product managers and product owners in the region and platforms owned by global teams.
  • Executing programs across divisions and countries derived from the Customer to Cash Simplification Program

 

You will work closely with the Product Manager and Product Owners, leveraging the existing Development Teams to deliver initiatives for EMEA. You will manage alignment meetings with the EMEA business, prioritize requests, and collaborate with product teams to identify improvements and dependencies on changes and key initiatives for EMEA. The development teams will provide you with opportunities for improvement, and they will need your support to coordinate and manage senior stakeholders, both on the business and global sides, to gain alignment on execution.

 

With Magellan now live in our region, we have the opportunity to optimize the Commercial Solutions environment, leveraging the new capabilities from the upgrade. This will enable us to improve end-to-end processes, unlocking capabilities that will provide value for our business by enhancing effectiveness, efficiency, and data quality. For instance, we need to establish a structured process that begins with lead capture and qualification, followed by opportunity conversion, and then progresses through defined stages to closure. This will enable our field and remote teams to rely on the funnel as a reliable tool for pipeline visibility, qualification, and prioritization. As we expand patient engagement and device tracking, EMEA requires solutions that support our business while complying with data privacy regulations. This area will expand as we introduce digital tools, such as mobile apps, to better serve our customers. It will be crucial to align with global strategies and solutions, while also supporting EMEA business and legal requirements.

 

As you drive the improvement of the Commercial Solutions platform, you will also support the improvement of data sources for our AI initiatives, especially AgentForce, enabling agility and acceleration of our digital roadmaps. To achieve this goal, you will work closely with AI Product Owners, Data Product Owners, and Data Governance team members.

This newly created senior Program Manager role, reporting directly to the EMEA Commercial IT & Digital Director, provides an excellent opportunity for individuals aiming to lead strategic programs that drive continuous improvement, unlock the value of our solutions, and equip our Commercial organization with tools that ease their daily work. The successful candidate will shape technological advancements in the Healthcare sector by maximizing the potential of IT solutions to boost business growth and operational efficiency. This role oversees efforts to optimize the entire BSC corporate portfolio, including products, technologies, and development programs, significantly enhancing growth potential. It requires a blend of business insight, judgment, fact-based decision-making, and the ability to quickly understand technologies and investment options. This position is a key link between Corporate Strategy and Business Unit planning, implementation, and execution, demanding a high level of organizational understanding and clear communication.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic transformation initiatives across EMEA Commercial Solutions, driving harmonization of processes and platforms to enhance operational efficiency, data quality, and business agility.
  • Define and execute the regional program roadmap, aligning with global strategies while tailoring solutions to meet EMEA-specific business and regulatory requirements.
  • Champion cross-functional collaboration by engaging with Global Process Leads, Centers of Excellence, Platform Owners, and Commercial Services to ensure alignment on priorities, dependencies, and execution plans.
  • Oversee delivery of high-impact programs, including Patient Engagement, Campaign ROI optimization, and Customer-to-Cash simplification, ensuring compliance, scalability, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Enable data-driven decision-making by improving data sources and structures that support AI initiatives such as AgentForce, in partnership with Data Governance and Product Owners.
  • Drive adoption and change management for new digital tools and processes, ensuring field and remote teams are equipped with reliable, user-centric solutions that support pipeline visibility and sales effectiveness.
  • Establish performance metrics and governance frameworks to track solution adoption, measure ROI, and continuously improve the Commercial IT landscape across divisions and countries.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field.

 

  • 15+ years of experience in digital, commercial IT, or strategy roles, ideally in medtech, pharma, or consulting.
