The purpose of the Healthcare Solutions & Partnerships team is to help establish Boston Scientific as a leading healthcare Solutions provider. This is achieved by engaging in long-term partnerships with customers, providing them with products, services and solutions which are differentiated and tailored to their needs.

 

Reporting to the Healthcare Solutions and Partnership Business Unit Manager, the core objectives of this role are to deliver our suite of solutions to our targeted customer segment, typically of large healthcare providers. 

Devise and implement successful sales strategies and build relationships with influential clinical, administrative and economic decision-makers within targeted groups.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Facilitation of contract negotiations involving all company products
  • Create a compete “bundle” of product and value-add services
  • Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules, discount rates, and develops sales strategies to accommodate the goals of the company
  • Monitor reimbursement trends in the country, developing and executing the approach to include and maintain BSC products in the reimbursement system.
  • Help define negotiation parameters for tough economically constrained customer situations
  • Maintain knowledge of the industry and the competition continually seeking information from , suppliers, HMO and others to challenge, modify and prioritize country strategy
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends and their impact on country sales activities

  • Supervision Provided: Provides direction and guidance to lower level subordinate supervisors or through experienced professional employees. Acts as an adviser to subordinates and may become actively involved, as required, to meet schedules and resolve problems. Evaluates performance of and assists in career development planning for subordinates.
  • Job Complexity: Works on issues of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends. Must have a complete understanding of functional specialty and industry practices, techniques, and standards. Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Acts as an advisor to subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems. Develops and administers schedules and performance requirements. May have budget responsibilities.
