About the role:

Responsible for ensuring that the department supports the selling efforts of the field sales organization through process optimization, consistent policies, reporting mechanisms and appropriate use of technology


Your Responsibilities include:

  • Provides leadership on day to day tasks for team members.
  • Provides proactive franchise strategy & planning support
  • Sets consistent policies with respect to field sales support activities.
  • Defines field sales plan allocation and maintenance processes.
  • Provides direction in setting travel and expense budgets and guidelines.
  • Optimizes existing processes through appropriate use of technology.
  • Provides field sales management with reporting and mechanisms relative to field sales personnel performance.
  • Implements new processes as they become relevant for the selling organization.
  • Supports divisional aspects GPO and IDN sales negotiations through price modeling, trending and comparison.
  • Assists in setting long term information technology goals for the selling organization.
  • Management Requirements
  • Lead a group or team of employees in the achievement of organizational goals. Guide, coach, direct, and develop direct reports, and if applicable, drive those practices throughout their organization.
  • Foster a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.
  • Direct and control the activities and budget of one or more functional areas, divisions, product groups, projects/programs and/or operations.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. federal/country and regulatory requirements)
  • Accomplishes results through professional specialist employees or subordinate managers and supervisors who exercise significant latitude and independence in their assignments.
  • Provides direction and monitors progress toward departmental goals; monitors costs of projects and of human and material resources within a department or unit; monitors company-wide indicators such as market share and profitability; monitors external environment in area of technical or professional responsibility. Subject to approval, modifies the organizational structure of centralized functions and units.
  • Often responsible for managing a staff function of the company.
  • Works on issues of large and diverse scope where analysis of situations or data requires expert knowledge of area of expertise and in-depth understanding of organizational objectives.
  • Implements strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.


What we are looking for in you:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (Advanced degree/MBA strongly preferred)
  • 8+ years of sales operations, business analytics and/or commercial finance work experience within the healthcare/medical device industry
  • Demonstrated success working in a team environment, and past management experience providing leadership, development and coaching to a high performing team
  • Strong ability to consult & influence directly with senior sales leadership on commercial challenges and new business opportunities, managing all aspects of strategic evaluation and implementation
  • Strong business acumen & strategic thought leadership
  • 25 % Travel
