About This Role:
This is a unique opportunity for a highly capable experienced technical leader to leverage broad engineering, business and leadership skills. As an engineer in the Nitinol Shape Memory factory you will work with a team of engineers in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, driving business results to achieve short-term and long-term goals. This individual will provide production support, lead strategic cross functional and multi-site projects, and help develop production area strategy.

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Works cooperatively with R&D, Process Development, Quality, Production, Regulatory, Equipment Engineering, Supply Chain, and Marketing on complex projects to ensure project success.
  • Selects process improvement techniques to solve complex problems and make sound equipment and process recommendations.
  • Designs and coordinates complex engineering tests and experiments.
  • Summarizes, analyzes, and draws conclusions from complex test results.
  • Consistently generates innovative and unique solutions to meet department goals.
  • Prioritizes and manages execution of multiple projects.
  • Maintains and enhances cross-functional team relationships.
  • Works cross-functionally in identifying and resolving production/engineering issues.
  • Ensures policies and processes are followed.
  • Represents manufacturing engineering in new product development teams.
  • Leads in the identification, implementation, and management of production goals.
  • Trains, develops, and/or provides work direction to operators, technicians, and engineers.
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Strong communication, coaching and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have practical understanding of manufacturing problem solving and process improvement tools Must be able to communicate effectively, by analyzing, summarizing, and presenting ideas concisely via visual communication methods i.e. tables, graphs, Visio diagrams, and PowerPoint presentation.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Medical device or high technology industry preferred
  • Project management experience
  • Demonstrated leadership of problem solving and process improvement in manufacturing setting
