About the role:

The Marketing Automation Manager, Digital Account Based Marketing is responsible for driving forward Boston Scientific’s data-driven marketing capabilities on the Salesforce platform. They will have proven experience taking marketing objectives and strategies and delivering the technology solutions in Salesforce to achieve and execute them.

 

As a member of the Global Brand and Integrated Marketing Communication department, reporting to the Head of Digital Account Based Marketing, the Marketing Automation Manager will design and manage deployment of solutions that automate digital marketing capabilities within Salesforce and other technologies in BSC’s tech-stack to execute digital Account Based Marketing programs, advanced demand generation capabilities, and lead generation and nurturing at scale.

 

This role also drives planning of innovative new journey-based digital marketing campaigns in concert with Digital Marketing Managers, Sales leaders, and other stakeholders. They will use insights from campaigns to create case examples and presentations, educating cross-functional stakeholder teams on the potential role of digital account based marketing, marketing automation, data-driven marketing campaigns, and other technology-focused capabilities that support business unit marketing objectives. They will also support the execution of campaigns using newly created Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud functionality in partnership with BU digital marketing teams, while training them how to self-serve in the future.

 

Your responsibilities include:

  • Designs solutions that optimize Sales Cloud functionality, its data connections with Marketing Cloud, and features within Marketing Cloud’s suite of products
  • Leads consultative engagements with stakeholders while informing them of strategic resourcing implications of functionality choices
  • Delivers strategic recommendations on novel approaches, dependencies, level of effort / scoping, and timing that are clearly articulated to all audiences
  • Utilizes a blend of automation marketing, data administration/management and Salesforce implementation and management experience to provide nuanced and complex recommendations to disparate business unit needs
  • Uses an expert knowledge of current Salesforce applications and product lines, including the knowledge needed to implement multiple applications in common customer scenarios
  • Anticipates and mitigates risk, meets and manages customer expectations, increases customer confidence, manages solution delivery and any issues that arise, and prioritizes and escalates appropriately
  • Connects data between Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Sales Cloud using SQL, data extensions, and other methods
  • Acts in a Product Owner role for the full project lifecycle of Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud implementations in an agile environment
  • Partners with digital marketing strategists and producers to plan, execute, and report on campaigns utilizing new capabilities on Salesforce
  • Consults and supports the creation and curation of deep customer segmentation strategy and manages the database from a technical perspective to ensure strong data integrity and clean data
  • Creates and presents education and training on new marketing capabilities in Salesforce

 

What we’re looking for in you:

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a senior business analyst for Salesforce implementations as a consultant or internal product owner
  • Bachelor’s degrees
  • Expert knowledge of utilizing the Salesforce platform (Marketing Cloud, Sales Cloud, and other solutions) for advanced marketing campaigns.
  • Solid understanding of data management and database concepts
  • Strong business case/user story development and implementation experience
  • Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant or similar credentials strongly preferred
  • Salesforce development experience a plus
  • Familiarity with the customer online purchasing journey and experience planning and executing digital marketing campaigns that align to that journey

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Digital, Business or other relevant field
  • Experience collaborating with a geographically dispersed network of peers and stakeholders
