About the role

The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Selling function for the Interventional Cardiology Group (ICG).  Responsibilities include facilitating month-end close activities, including journal entry preparation and analysis.  This highly visible position requires an outgoing candidate that is able to work independently, while building strong relationships with business partners in the Selling organization, in order to optimize financial planning, reporting and analysis. Gathers and publishes financial information related to historical, current and future performance for management reporting. Performs financial analysis utilizing appropriate financial concepts and techniques. Recommends alternative courses of action.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop detailed financial forecasts incorporating historic, trended and current business information.
  • Prepare journal entries and assist in month end close as needed to ensure proper accounting at the functional and departmental level.
  • Monitor functional and departmental spending versus budget by highlighting material variances using system generated detail and trend reports.
  • Prepare and distribute financial reports and packages by gathering and analyzing information related to current performance.
  • Facilitate data feeds, perform validation and generate reports for the Contribution Margin tool.
  • Partner independently with the Selling organization and the Franchise Finance leaders
  • Develop and utilize sound financial processes and maintain effective control environment.


What we’re looking for:

Minimal qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent technical skills (modeling, macros, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Hyperion, preferably SAP and VBA)
  • Strong financial analysis, communication, organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment, adhere to tight deadlines, attention to detail
  • Must have highly developed customer relationship skills with strong service orientation.
  • Holds self-accountable to a performance metric culture building performance excellence.
  • Team orientated.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA
