About the role
 

The Marketing Strategy Senior Product Manager will have upstream responsibility for representing the voice of customer, developing strategies/proposals for new technologies, driving critical business and strategy decisions and leading key portfolio discussion across Interventional Cardiology (IC).   This person is expected to develop relationships with business partners, develop compelling recommendations, and drives initiatives to completion.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop comprehensive business cases with detailed financial models to assess new business opportunities through build/buy/partner lens; assess customer unmet needs, value propositions, market sizing, competitive landscape, competing technologies, project execution, and commercial implications.
  • Establish relationships with key opinion leaders in the field; collect, analyze and summarize voice of customer (VOC) from key opinion leaders, current and potential customers, and internal stakeholders, through qualitative and quantitative research.
  • Identify, track and provide updates to senior leadership on competitive initiatives to support strategic decision making; Conduct and/or direct vendors in market analysis and research
  • Facilitate cross-functional discussions and recommendations on new market entry opportunities and new market strategy initiatives focused on growing the business while leveraging classic marketing capabilities: market understanding, market segmentation, and product positioning to further business objectives.
  • Identify best practices to address key business challenges and opportunities. Help to build a strong Marketing Strategy and Portfolio competency within the IC business.
  • Establish strong relationships with stakeholders; including R&D, clinical, business development and sales.
  • Exhibit professional maturity and help to foster an open, challenging, stimulating and positive environment that enables colleagues to be their best.

 

What we’re looking for

  • BA/BS required, Master’s/MBA preferred.  Ideally coursework in areas of Marketing, Strategy, Finance
  • 5+ years of related experience with significant time spent in Marketing, Strategy, Finance, ideally in the healthcare domain (medical device, pharma, healthcare).
  • 3+ years of upstream marketing experience in developing new products preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting assessments of sophisticated markets.
  • Demonstrated experience with complex financial modeling, including market, revenue, and investment models.  Strong Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Demonstrated ability to create compelling and engaging presentations.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Creation of compelling presentations and effective communication of recommendations
  • Demonstrated initiative to work autonomously from a work plan.
  • Ability to collaborate and work with others in a dynamic, matrix environment
  • Position requires up to ~20% travel.
