The Senior Product Manager will define and own our HealthReveal solution, an Artificial Intelligence platform, throughout the lifecycle as well as identify new solutions to broaden the S&P portfolio and fulfill customer needs.  This individual will be responsible for measuring and managing HealthReveal penetration, adoption, and profitability.  Additional activities could include defining marketing plans and budgets, identifying growth opportunities, implementing product launches, supporting the sales team with training and tracking effectiveness of marketing programs against set goals. This senior product manager will also play a critical role as an advocate for the franchise through an evaluation of the solution space to identify and/or develop and execute additional offerings that would round out our portfolio and provide further differentiation. This person should have the interest and aptitude to define the opportunity for solutions to providing make versus buy decisions to eventual commercialization.   The Sr. PM will independently lead all aspects of market and customer sensing, product development and commercialization.  It is upstream and downstream focused. This person should be able to operate independently, requiring minimal supervision developing and executing key franchise strategies. his position will enable BSC Interventional Cardiology to strengthen our market position.  Ability to work, partner and collaborate with both internal and external customers is essential to success in this role.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

 

Commercial Marketing and Strategy

  • Propose innovative commercial approaches to drive sales through new sales channels, new call points and new clinical approaches
  • Gather learnings, define best practices, and analyze and report on performance (i.e. key program metrics) to determine strategy (e.g. continued execution, enhancements, end of life, etc.).
  • Develops and executes annual plans that clearly outline objectives, strategies, tactic and activities within budget guidelines to deliver profitable growth and maximize market opportunities.
  • Monitors competitive solution landscape to analyze impact of market conditions, highlight possible modifications to portfolio and/or proactively develop BSC strategies to combat competitive activity.
  • Drive effective solution launch programs, including targeting, positioning, value propositions, channel, pricing, communication, and sales strategies.

 

Upstream Marketing

  • Lead development of customer-focused healthcare solutions by developing marketing specifications that define next generation product requirements.  Influences cross functional teams to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Maintains continuous mindset of hearing and incorporating customer feedback to improve and innovate solutions. 
  • Collaborates with the Marketing Strategies and Analytics team to build and execute market research plans.  Makes recommendations for required market research.
  • Collaborate within the team to analyze solutions opportunities from a strategic, clinical, technical, and financial perspective to ensure prioritization of the highest-value opportunities.
  • Complete established Product Development Plan deliverables to ensure effective solution development and launch preparation
  • Engage internal stakeholders (e.g., Quality, Regulatory, Legal) throughout the solution development process to comply with BSC policies and procedures
  • Ensures awareness and compliance with applicable standard operating procedures to meet, comply and champion all quality and regulatory commitments of Boston Scientific.

 

 Communication and Relationship Building

  • Develop, maintain, and grow relationships with key customers and internal cross functional stakeholders.
  • Support development of key marketing communications around solutions, work closely with agencies and media to develop the right messaging and its delivery; seeking internal stakeholder approvals; tracking the effectiveness of the communication (Brand track) to drive differentiation for our solution.
  • Develop and deliver training objectives, plan and training in partnership with the training team to the sales team. 

 

What we’re looking for in you:

  • MBA preferred, Undergraduate degree required
  • 5 years of successful related business experience
  • 5 years professional experience in Healthcare and/or value based marketing  
  • Prior Product Management Experience (upstream & downstream), including strategic commercialization within the medical field preferred
  • Market Development Experience preferred
  • Analytical skills to resolve complex issues in creative ways. Clear thinker, strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent collaboration skills and team player
  • Proven ability to work and influence across a matrix environment. Strong communicator internally and externally, builds networks, and partners with peers and internal and external customers.
  • Willing to travel 25% - 40%, including domestic and international
