About the role:

This role will be responsible for leading the Upstream Marketing activities for the Millipede transcatheter annuloplasty ring system based on a solid understanding of the technology, market and customer needs. This is a high-profile and technically demanding role in an exciting and high-growth market within Boston Scientific’s Structural Heart business.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Product Lifecycle Management:
    • Support product development activities across multiple internal and external groups such as R&D, Packaging and Labeling, Regulatory and Operations
    • Develop and execute global customer input plan to inform product development decision-making by partnering with cross-functional core team members
    • Drive “Voice of Customer” (VOC) throughout the technology development process to ensure market specifications are incorporated throughout each project phase
    • Leverage VOC to inform User and Business needs
    • Act as Marketing lead on project core teams
  • Marketing Strategy:
    • Demonstrate command of key business trends and market conditions through market research, clinical literature, metrics, coordination with customer interfacing teams and personal interaction with key customers
    • Develop and manage Claims Matrix and evidence plan to support future commercial market entry
    • Ongoing support and refinement of market revenue and segmentation models in partnership with Market Strategy and Finance
    • Conduct marketing research projects as needed to gather insights to drive decision-making
  • Market Analysis and Competitive Tracking:
    • Develop an understanding of current and future market dynamics and the competitive landscape
    • Monitor, track and report out on competitive activities and timelines
    • Manage the acquisition and synthesis of third-party market data
  • KOL Engagement:
    • Execute and participate in multiple physician advisory boards ensuring all HCP engagements are managed in accordance with Boston Scientific’s compliance policies
    • Support pipeline discussions around future portfolio including hands-on demonstrations and presentations to physicians

 

 

What we’re looking for in you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, engineering or healthcare; MBA preferred
  • 5+ years prior product management, strategic marketing or consulting experience required
  • Industry background in healthcare required; structural heart device experience preferred
  • Prior strategic planning and product development experience preferred
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, financial modeling, and strategic thinking skills
  • KOL engagement and experience managing multiple high-profile physician collaborators
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment and partner with internal/external stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to mobilize key stakeholders and engage leadership  
  • Willing to travel 15-20%; some international travel may be required
