About the role:

The Global Social Media Strategist is responsible for advising on social media marketing campaigns and strategies across the organization and will serve as a consultant to Boston Scientific’s divisions and regions. He/she will devise social media marketing strategies, support campaign tactics and analyze and report data from Boston Scientific’s business units to help inform future strategies and demonstrate business impact. He/she will also assist with developing social media standards, training employees and educating on best practices. This position will sit on the corporate social media team (part of Global Corporate Communications) and has the option to be located at our headquarters in Marlborough, MA, or at our facility in Maple Grove, MN.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Create and advise on social media campaign strategies and support marketing programs across Boston Scientific’s divisions and regions in partnership with Global Digital Marketing, community managers and marketing teams.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for paid social within the organization and point of contact for representatives with Facebook, LinkedIn, etc. Stay up-to-date on any changes to social advertising platforms and make recommendations to Boston Scientific teams.
  • Track, analyze and report enterprise-wide campaign metrics and spend.
  • Create and implement enterprise standards for social media marketing campaigns and educate on best practices.
  • Advise and help manage external relationships and contracts with enterprise social media vendors or agencies.

 

 

What we're looking for:

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in social media or digital marketing with at least 2-3 years of experience in paid social media strategy, digital media or campaign management.
  • Experience in healthcare, life sciences or other regulated industry preferred.
  • Strategic consultant with proven ability to influence outcomes.
  • Strong analytical thinking and mathematical abilities; very skilled in analyzing campaign data to inform strategies.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills in developing relationships and leading by influence at all levels in the organization.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
