About the role

This position will play a key role in setting and executing strategy for the Structural Heart Valves global Cerebral Embolic Protection (CEP) product portfolio based on solid understanding of our markets, customers, and technologies.  The role will require the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, translate insights into action, and the ability to identify business accelerators and innovative strategies to overcome market challenges and drive business. 


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Portfolio / Business Planning
    • Coordinate activities that enable development of a global portfolio plan
      • Identify products and opportunities that will support the Structural Heart business strategy, and build business case for new opportunities
      • Coordinate and execute the gathering of internal and external feedback
      • Conduct analysis of competitor activities, customer needs, technology, etc.
      • Support forecasting of portfolio budget and Strat Plan revenue
      • Monitor portfolio and recommend adjustments to project investment strategy when appropriate
  • Product Life Cycle Management:
    • Develop and execute a global customer input plan to inform product development decision and inform trade-off decisions by partnering with the cross-functional core team members
    • Drive “Voice of Customer (VOC)” throughout the Technology Development Process (TDP) / Product Development Process (PDP) to insure market specifications are incorporated in every phase of the project
    • Develop Market Specs that appropriately capture User Needs and Business Needs
    • Partner with finance to develop long-range forecasts for new products and new product concepts to inform investment decisions
    • Act as marketing lead on project team
    • Complete all marketing deliverables on time with excellence
    • Assist project leader in solving problems and recommending next steps
    • Develop end of life plans for products at the end of their life cycle
  • Marketing Execution and Tactics:
    • Support development of key marketing communications around future portfolio
    • Ensure that team and partners are updated in a timely manner regarding changes to portfolio and/or timing
    • Support product commercialization activities across multiple internal and external groups such as design, packaging and labeling, regulatory claims, sales force education, and operations planning
  • KOL and Sales Relationships: 
    • Identify key physician champions for franchise and establish relationships
    • Develop support structure and relationship with sales representatives and sales management
    • Assist in coordinating Physician symposiums and participate in main customer events


What we’re looking for in you:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years prior product management experience preferred.  Industry background in healthcare preferred.  MBA preferred.
  • Medical device experience preferred
  • Prior Product Management experience preferred, including strategic planning and product development
  • KOL engagement and experience managing multiple high profile physician collaborators
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment and partner with internal/external stakeholders
  • Ability to engage and influence cross-functional colleagues, even without direct reporting relationships
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to mobilize key stakeholders and engage leadership
  • Willing to travel ~30%, some international travel required
