About the role

The Corporate Strategy Analyst will be an integral member of the Corporate Strategy Team and will provide tactical support of a broad range of projects and analyses of high importance to Boston Scientific. Project topics will range from the exploration of key threats and opportunities, to the blueprinting of new sources of growth, to supporting the assessment of key M&A opportunities.  The Corporate Strategy Team directly supports Boston Scientific’s senior leadership, including its CEO, CFO, and Board of Directors.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Primary and Secondary Research: Tactical execution of research projects in support of:
    • M&A Due Diligence: For example, exploration and assessment of a new technology or geographic market opportunity
    • Technological and Market-Related Threat/Opportunity Analysis identification, monitoring, and analysis of critical issues impacting BSC lines of business
    • New Opportunities: identification and mapping potential of new sources of growth
  • Development of Analyses:  Development, updating, and refinement of excel models on topics such as:
    • Market evaluation and sizing
    • Optimization of capital allocation to internal and external investment opportunities
    • Tracking of internal R&D programs
  • Preparation and Refinement of Presentations: Support the Sr. Manager and VP of Corporate Strategy by contributing to the creation and refinement of sophisticated and compelling presentations summarizing the findings and recommendations of various workstreams and projects.
  • Planning Cycle Support: As needed, tactically contribute to the annual planning cycle as well as support preparation of materials relating to the Company’s Strategic Plan, Annual Operating Plan, and meetings of its Board of Directors.


What we're looking for in you:

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline with proven high achievement
  • 2-4 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, or relevant corporate role requiring meticulous attention to detail and complex problem solving
  • Strong intellectual curiosity and demonstrated interest in healthcare (specific knowledge in Medical Devices a plus but not required)
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint; Intermediate proficiency in Excel
  • Experience as a member of a small high-performing team with an entrepreneurial work ethic
  • Unimpeachable ethics and respect for confidentiality
