About the role:

This is a highly collaborative role providing oversight of global processes and driving consistency of global business and maximizing operational efficiency. This person develops and translates strategy into operational goals and objectives for their process area, identifies gaps and issues that prohibit efficient and effective business processes, drives solutions for evolving business requirements, and remedies process deficiencies.


Location: Will consider remote talent across the US.


Your responsibilities include:

  • Establishes and communicates a clear vision for processes in the Global Business Services organization
  • Develops and translates strategy into operational goals and objectives. Anticipates needs,  identifies necessary resources (people and capital); assesses opportunities against business objectives, manages risk and determines creative means to implement new & innovative technical & process solutions
  • Works with Corporate Accounting, Function and Region Leads to identify process and policy improvement opportunities and champions a culture of continuous improvement.  Collaborates with VI Function to prioritize and execute VI projects
  • Works side by side with Magellan team to implement S4, with 70%+ standard functionality, globally with respect to ATR functionality, while collaborating with other workstreams for seamless and efficient end to end process
  • Manages client service requests, issues and resolution
  • Reviews and analyzes new service requests
  • Ensures process specific agreed upon BPO SLAs are adhered to and engages in root cause analysis of performance issues when they arise.  Continually revisits SLAs to ensure proper components are being measured.
  • Develops and manages BSC/vendor governance model for individual process(es)
  • Builds and maintains relationships throughout the organization
  • Creates a high-performance, a customer-centric culture throughout the organization, continuously monitors the needs of the customer
  • Works in conjunction with the Global Business Services Reporting & RPA teams to develop and operate any applicable reporting and analytics to measure the efficacy and efficiency of their process
  • Monitors financial aspects of relevant processes, where applicable.


What we’re looking for:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred.
  • CPA, CMA or equivalent preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive Accounting/Shared Services/Global Business Services experience and proven success within a large complex multi-national company.
  • Technical skills: Full life-cycle Business process improvement methodology (including lean Six Sigma). ERP experience (SAP preferred).  Global implementation experience.
  • Functional knowledge:  Demonstrated track record of effective application of accounting principles, regulations and financial analysis.  Knowledge of US GAAP accounting and internal controls.  Solid understanding of the relationship of internal controls and business processes with the financial statements and financial statement assertions.  Solid understanding of the importance of SOX 404 controls and environment.
  • Superior problem-solving skills, leadership qualities, influencing, communication and consulting skills, team/interpersonal skills.  Outstanding ability to diagnose problems which could be related to process, technology, strategy or people and put in place actions/measures.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate diverse, regional teams
  • Strong financial acumen to develop business cases that support new or improved service proposals
  • Executive presence and influence skills: ability to develop strong, compelling value propositions and influence executive level stakeholders
  • Global experience: Self-awareness of communication styles and cultural differences; understanding of business process and style differences
  • Language: Fluent in English. Additional languages are an asset
