About the role: 
You will be a member of Boston Scientifics Global Total Rewards Team, primarily supporting compensation and related programs in U.S. However, you will have the opportunity to work and partner with a highly collaborative Global Total Rewards team. The Compensation Team within Global Total Rewards is a centralized function aligned by region and/or division and we are key business partners in our efforts to design, develop and deploy compensation programs and initiatives aligned with BSC’s core philosophy.


The Senior Compensation Manager will be engaged in all aspects of compensation at Boston Scientific, including providing input on the strategic design and administration of all plans, programs and processes for US and global employees. This includes base pay and bonus administration, short-term and long-term incentives, recognition, annual compensation planning, budget forecasting, policies and procedures, job evaluation, analysis and market pricing, consulting on sales plan administration and ad hoc initiatives as needed. This individual will lead a small team and be an active and contributing member of management board for Global Total Rewards leaders. 


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working with the Director of Compensation for U.S./Canada/PR, oversee the development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs primarily in the U.S., but with global responsibilities and alignment. 
  • Manage a small team who will serve as consultants to various business units and functions. 
  • Monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation practices and recommend changes that are cost-effective and consistent with compensation trends and corporate objectives.
  • Provide advice to HR Business partners and company leaders on pay decisions, policy interpretations, pay equity and job evaluations / descriptions.
  • Oversee the participation in salary surveys and monitor salary survey data to ensure corporate compensation objectives are achieved.
  • Collaborate with our Sales Operations COE and divisional sales groups on sales plan design and market practices. 
  • Assist in creation and review of compensation communication materials.

 

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 7-9+ years of Compensation experience with at least 2-3+ years of experience managing and motivating a team
  • Previous experience building relationships and consulting with all levels of the organization
  • A high degree of accuracy and are solution oriented
  • Ability to work across a large organization and implement quickly against multiple priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to listen and respond to information effectively and to give and receive feedback

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Strong and demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with interest in learning new tools
  • Strong ability to analyze data and produce findings
  • Experience in sales compensation a plus
  • Curiosity about broader HR and compensation
  • Strong program/project management skills
