About the role

The Senior Market Analysis and Planning Manager is responsible for managing the high-quality execution of projects that:

  • Inform critical business decisions with thoughtful, fact-based analysis
  • Provide market analysis and competitive intelligence insights that drive meaningful action
  • Enable creation of the divisional strategic and portfolio planning through process and analytic support
  • Support development and implementation of marketing excellence initiatives

 

Your responsibilities will include: 

The Senior Marketing Planning and Analysis Manager is a key role within the Urology Pelvic Health (UroPH) Marketing Strategy, Portfolio and Solutions team.  This role will work across UroPH and marketing leadership on critical, high-visibility initiatives to include market analysis, market and competitive intelligence as well partnership with the Sr. Manager on core planning processes.  S/he is expected to develop deep effective working relationships across marketing, cross-functionally and with regional counterparts and to drive a highly analytical approach to researching key business issues, competitive trends and insights, and developing compelling recommendations that are communicated in a powerfully persuasive manner.  These efforts will support the division in making effective choices to maximize our market position. 

Market and Competitive Intelligence:  Monitor global trends, clinical literature, competitive earnings call, investor presentations, other industry competitive reporting and output of Competitive Action Teams.  Execute primary and secondary research to support projects as needed.  Synthesize inputs to deliver meaningful summaries to key stakeholders that inform the business, drive action and/or changes in view on short, mid and long-term opportunities or risks.   

 

UroPH Global Market Model Process: Own and continuously improve the global modeling process.   Serve as the subject matter expert on these models and partner effectively with Product Marketing, global regions and finance to ensure rigorous inputs, fully documented assumptions and robust, timely outputs.

 

UroPH Market Research Tools and Data:  Manage core UroPH market research tools (e.g. Market Site, AlphaSite) and secondary data (IMS, MRG, other).  Serve as the key point of contact for UroPH with Corporate Marketing and the vendors.   Work across UroPH marketing to deliver data and serve as a subject matter expert in secondary data sources for the team.  

 

UroPH Planning:  Partner with Sr Manager to support a variety of planning processes including strategic plan, portfolio planning, launch excellence and annual planning.

 

What we are looking for in you:

  • Bachelors’ degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred
  • 5 years of experience in Consulting, Finance, Strategic Marketing, Market Research, or Business analytics required
  • Strong financial, analytical, modeling and quantitative skills required. 
  • Experience successfully managing cross-functional projects in the healthcare industry, required
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • Experience collecting, interpreting, and synthesizing competitive intelligence
  • Development and execution of structured approaches to solve unstructured problems
  • Creation of compelling presentations and effective communication of recommendations
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on deliverable/analysis quality and accuracy
  • Ability to effectively manage/execute multiple simultaneous tasks
  • Professional maturity and a highly collegial attitude focused on getting to the best outcome
