Senior L&D Specialist


About the role:

L&D exists to improve organizational and leadership effectiveness, and to build workforce capabilities to substantially improve business performance and the quality of patient care. This is accomplished by effectively developing relevant and timely leadership and organizational interventions, and by leading and managing the end-to-end life cycle of a learning process so as to deliver the right training, to the right people, at the right time, in the right way, personalized and seamlessly.


Your responsibilities include:

  • Primary point of contact to support training needs and projects for business partners within Global Enterprise Excellence, Manufacturing and Supply Chain and Global Quality.
  • Consults with business representatives to understand business needs and identify opportunities to enhance performance, ensure compliance and the achievement of business and quality objectives through training or other solutions.
  • Manage the end to end training strategy (needs assessment, design, development, implementation, and effectiveness) of instructor led and computer based learning in the Learning Management System.
  • Manage the strategy, design, develop, implement and sustain performance support solutions to support training strategy.
  • Design, implement, and support the development and use of learning assessment methodologies and tools.
  • Collaborates with internal subject matter experts and/or cross-functional teams for content development.
  • Conducts data analysis, executes assignments, manages curricula, and generates reports to support business needs
  • Manages pilot process and testing for learning solutions
  • Provides training experience and knowledge to support the Identification and qualification of internal instructors. Continually evaluates instructor effectiveness.
  • Supports communication and change management activities for training implementations.
  • Manages vendor partnerships to provide quality, cost effective solutions, including vendor RFP process, resource discussions, schedules, contracts and fee negotiations.
  • Participates on cross-functional teams to continuously support and improve L&D systems and processes.
  • Provides training expertise to onboard acquisition teams as they integrate including; reviewing the training strategy to align with process integration, assisting with integration of training and meeting with and training supervisors on the BSC assignment processes.


What we’re looking for in you:

  • 3-5 years of instructional design and development experience, training consulting
  • Experience with Microsoft office suite, including intermediate excel skills
  • Knowledge of training authoring tools preferred (e.g. Articulate, Captivate)
  • Some knowledge of Quality System regulation knowledge preferred
  • BA or BS Degree
  • Team player, strong communicator and collaborator
  • Demonstrates success working in a fast paced, matrix environment
