About the role

The Senior CyberSecurity Architect will provide leadership, guidance, and direction to designers and software engineers with cybersecurity and development responsibilities (Security Champions).   The ideal candidate should possess a combination of strong technical knowledge across multiple information security domains, possess a solid proven software development background, experience in secure coding principles.  The candidate will partner with development teams across the company to design, develop, install, monitor and test standardized solutions that meet established security control objectives and implement security solutions. The candidate will educate teams on security principles across the system/product lifecycle (concept, development, operation and iteration) and influence the design and envisioned use to help teams create products that are secure by design, secure in use and secured through partnership. The Senior Cybersecurity Architect’s charter is to meet business objectives, customer, physician & patient expectations, IT strategic initiatives, corporate and regulatory requirements. 

This position reports directly to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) within the Global IT Cybersecurity organization.


Your Responsibilities:

  • Partner with platform and engineering teams to integrate security controls into continuous development, integration, deployment, and delivery processes
  • Build strong relationships with system/product teams and cultivate a culture of security awareness and ownership, including the implementation and utilization of secure coding principles.
  • Identify gaps in existing system/product design, security architecture and design and recommend changes or enhancements with threat modelling exercises and code review
  • Ability to apply Lean Startup, Agile and DevOps methodologies
  • Drive consistency and standardization of vulnerability measurement across product development teams
  • Hands-on design, develop, integrate, and update technical solutions that provide confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, control, and non-repudiation.
  • Provide guidance and subject matter expertise on infrastructure, application & data security to engineering teams across the company
  • Coordinate with systems architects, software engineers, and developers to provide guidance in the development and integration of secure design solutions.
  • Validate IT solutions collaboratively with infrastructure and application development project teams ensuring that corporate security policy, standards and industry best practices are met.


What  we’re looking for:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience; Master’s Degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in relevant areas including cybersecurity, securing engineering, software development,
  • Strong foundation and in-depth technical knowledge in security engineering, computer and network security, authentication and security protocols, and applied cryptography
  • Understanding of Software Security Architecture and Design, SDLC and the ability to clearly articulate best practices for software and application security
  • Familiarity with public cloud environments and technologies, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Must be highly collaborative with cross-function teams, strong written and verbal communication skills, flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities
  • A strong appetite for continuous learning


Preferred Qualifications:

  • CISSP, CISM, Cloud based (Amazon, Google, Microsoft, etc.) Certifications are a plus
