About the role:

Do you enjoy working in marketing communications to advance globalization and localization of content in support of multi-channel marketing? Do you have a passion for improving global processes that support content creation, approval and distribution? Our team is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Content Operations Specialist.

As a member of the Corporate Marketing team, you will help drive Digital Asset Management (DAM) and Content Workflow processes that support the efficient creation, distribution, and publishing of content across channels globally. You will collaborate with a diversity of roles including Marketing Communications, Marketing Operations, Digital Marketing, Legal, Regulatory, Quality, and IT.

The Sr. Specialist will continually explore opportunities to create efficiencies and enhance productivity of content operations. The Sr. Specialist will be responsible for supporting and driving adoption of a new Digital Asset Management (DAM) system, serving as the global system manager. The Sr. Specialist will also serve as Boston Scientific’s Global Quality Steward for the entire global content approval process and system of record.


Your responsibilities include:

  • Drive adoption of content management best practices to insure compliance and to provide dependable and efficient access to assets worldwide. Lead the organization in expanding the scope of content managed in the global DAM as the single source of truth for content.
  • Collaborate with corporate, divisional, and regional marketing teams to define and prioritize functionality and workflow enhancements that drive efficiencies. Serve as a point person for incorporating new requirements and channels into the content management system.
  • Serve as a liaison between Global Marketing and the Global Quality Organization. Work with Legal and Regulatory teams to ensure global procedures for marketing content and materials meet regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the daily operations of the new DAM and Content Approval Workflow system, acting as a main point of contact for questions and systems issues. Coordinate resolution of technical issues, supporting IT and technical experts in investigation and resolution.
  • Coordinate, support, and train a community of superusers who provide ongoing training and oversight to end users, driving divisional and regional self-sufficiency. Ensure training materials and user guides are up-to-date and available.
  • Monitor system usage and deliver regular operational and process reporting. Escalate operational or user adoption issues that provide a threat to content integrity or compliance.
  • Define and activate a monthly process (internal content newsletter and global teleconference) to highlight newly available assets to the global marketing community.
  • Maintain global content taxonomy and tagging guidelines for Boston Scientific. Work with divisional and regional stakeholders to improve the quality and consistency of asset metadata.
  • Work with technical teams to oversee integration with related systems, including Content Management Systems, Marketing Automation Systems, marketing asset workflow, and translation management systems.
  • Partner with IT and business units to support the selection of common sales enablement tools and lead their integration into the DAM.


What we're looking for in you:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3 years working in Digital Asset Management (DAM), Web Content Management (WCM), or Marketing Operations
  • Experience with Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems, Marketing Automation (Workflow) Tools, and/or Content Management Systems (CMS)
  • Experience working in regulated environments, and in handling content compliance requirements
  • Knowledge of taxonomy and metadata structures; Understanding of maintaining and improving taxonomy & metadata schemas within a DAM
  • Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others; able to effectively collaborate in a global, cross functional team environment
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a flexible, fast paced and challenging environment
  • Experience with project management, demonstrated ability to think strategically and prioritize
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-focused
