Sr. Supply Chain Planner for a dynamic business unit, growing rapidly from organic new product launches and acquisitions.
 


About the Role:
 

This Sr. Supply Chain Planner is responsible for global demand and requirements planning activities required to meet customer needs and market requirements as measured by KPI’s for service level, backorder and DIOH objectives. He/she will plan, monitor, and maintain finished goods inventory levels and related Planning system data integrity. The Sr. Supply Chain Planner will possess the skills and aptitude required to plan multiple product lines and provide cross functional supply chain support as necessary. The Sr. Supply Chain Planner will demonstrate a high level of analytical and execution skills.
 
 

Your Responsibilities Include:
 

Demand Planning/Scheduling:
 

  • Review statistically generated forecasts with GSCM and Marketing.  Revise as necessary.
  • Review replenishment targets and approve changes, noting input elements resulting in change
  • Work with Global Marketing, International Demand Planning, and Country Operations groups to identify all known demand sources (customer orders, scheduling agreements, distributor shipment, consignment, etc.)

     

New Product Launch Management:
 

  • Primary or backup Core Team Member for Supply Chain on New Product Development Team.
  • Develop launch plans, including forecasts, inventory targets, cannibalization plans, and introduction schedules with support from supply chain team members.
     

Inventory Management:
 

  • Contribute to the development of inventory plan
  • Establish inventory target
  • Monitor inventory performance to plan and target
  • Management of expired, excess and obsolescence reserve
  • Allocate inventory to regions in short supply situations
     

Supply Chain Execution:
 

  • Support daily/weekly/monthly planning processes
  • Maintain forecasts (Marketing Handshake)
  • Manage net requirements and communicate with manufacturing and sourcing sites.
  • Monitor manufacturing execution (Manufacturing Handshake)
  • Provide inventory analysis
  • Proactively manage backorders
     

Support S&OP Process:
 

  • Support all the content and process steps of the SIOP cycle

Achieve Core Performance Metrics
 

  • Service Level
  • Backorder
  • Inventory
  • Forecast Accuracy
  • Schedule Adherence

 

Lead supply chain improvement projects and drive continuous or transformational changes to achieve best in class supply chain performance.
 

 

 What We’re Looking For:

 

Required Qualifications

 

  • Four-year degree in Materials Management or related field/equivalent work experience
  • 3-5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing planning or inventory control function
  • Extremely strong PC skills utilizing such software programs as Excel, Access, Monarch, Word and Power Point
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization
  • Self-motivated independent worker
  • Performs to a high level of accuracy in all tasks
  • Highly adaptable, flexible and willing to accept new ideas, processes, and procedures
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Experience working with SAP, Rapid Response, or other planning systems.
     

 

Preferred Qualifications
 

  • APICS certification
  • Experience utilizing SAP or Legacy system
  • JIT experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Continuous education in a related field
  • Lean Manufacturing exposure or experience
