About the role:

This role can be located in any of the US BSC locations.  

 

This Sr. Employee Relations Representative position provides the great opportunity to make a positive impact on the health, safety and overall workplace experience for Boston Scientific employees.  This role consists of conducting confidential investigations involving conduct, discrimination, harassment and retaliation in accordance with local laws, regulations and requirements.  This position also provides the opportunity to use consultative strategies while partnering with People Services on escalations involving performance management, employee accommodations and sensitive employee situations.  Another important aspect of this role is to provide case data and trend information to HR Business Partners.  This position will support the corporate functions, divisions and manufacturing/quality areas, as needed.  


Your responsibilities will include:   

  • Develop strategy and work plans prior to conducting, managing and documenting investigations of varied complexity and scope that could result in legal ramifications
  • Assess the severity, involve appropriate individuals and facilitate appropriate action based on policy and practice.
  • Consult with People Services on employee and management issues guided by company policy and local law.
  • Consult with People Services on reasonable accommodation situations and provide counsel on leave and disability-related matters.
  • Analyze investigations data and provide trend information to the HRBPs.
  • Provide input on policies and procedures.


What we’re looking for:

  • BA/BS Degree
  • Minimum 5 years of Human Resources, Employee Relations or related experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize multiple matters calmly and effectively
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative where appropriate
  • Strong collaboration skills when working with team members, internal clients, stakeholders and management
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese is preferred but not a requirement
