About the Role:

We are looking for a Scrum Master to support and deliver strategic initiatives supporting the Distribution through the main U.S. Distribution Center in based in Quincy, Mass. While the primary focus of the role is to support the Product team at the Quincy site the role could expand to support initiatives with other DC’s in the Global network. In this role the individual will be a Scrum Master for medium to large size projects to enable solutions driving continuous improvement and compliance in distribution. This individual should have demonstrated prior experience leading an Agile Scrum team along with being highly motivated with excellent analysis and execution skills.  In this position, team work and networking with business partners and cross-functional IT team members is a necessary skill. 

 

Your Responsibilities: 

  • Lead an Agile-trained team to deliver IT solutions through regular sprints (2-4 weeks)
  • Ensure Agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to by the project team and be able to be a voice of reason and authority
  • Facilitate the daily scrums and sprint planning
  • Capture team metrics and manage product backlog, track progress (Burndown chart)
  • Ensure the project team is fully functional and productive
  • Escalate status and blockers to the program level
  • Remove impediments / blockers, shield the team from external interferences, and enable collaboration across all roles
  • Work with senior executives to define project scope and business case to support the project goals
  • Must be able to garner respect from the team and be willing to provide hands-on support to deliver project results
  • Escalate issues and project risks as they arise and elevate them to management
  • Be transparent with your business partners about status and develop business trust
  • Facilitate discussion and alternative approaches to challenge

 

What we're looking for:

Basic  Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years experience in Information Technology projects
  • Understand backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and task definition
  • Demonstrated experience planning and executing testing of complex cloud-based applications
  • Demonstrated success working in a highly collaborative, matrix environment, with a track record of accomplishments with measurable business impact
  • Strong technical competencies and demonstrated leadership competencies required with a strong sense of personal accountability
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and business partners
  • Experience with Agile tools (Rally) but would be open to other tools

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SCRUM certification preferred
  • PMP certification preferred
