Commercial Excellence Lead – Central Cluster

 

About the role

 

Are you willing to be the sparring partner of our Sales & Marketing divisional leaders? Are you also interested in supporting the Commercial Organization in delivering ambitious growth objectives? Then, this opportunity is for you!

 

This is an exciting position for a talented candidate to contribute with tangible impact to the Rhythm Management (RM) business.  As part of the European RM Commercial Excellence Team, you will support the whole RM EMEA Sales & Marketing team, with a special dedication to the Netherlands and DACH Region.

 

With a solid understanding of the RM portfolio, sales and marketing processes, you will have the mission to ensure we have the right data-driven insights to support critical business decisions, optimize current business processes, and prepare the RM division for future challenges.

 

You will be a key contributor to drive high performance by streamlining commercial processes and enabling sales tool kits and analytics. You will work with multiple functions e.g. Sales, Marketing and Finance, in an international and very dynamic environment. This high-visibility position would require combining a hands-on approach, together with strategic thinking.

 

Key tasks include:

 

1   Support key business strategies and initiatives

  • Partner with the RM Cluster leaders to define a coordinated strategy for the implementation of commercial excellence initiatives, e.g. account segmentation and prioritization, managing Business Reviews, coaching the Commercial Organization
  • Act as a consultant to Sales and Marketing Managers to support the definition and implementation of sales strategies and tactics
  • Develop ad-hoc analyses/simulations to provide fact-based responses to critical strategic questions including territory alignment, sales performance and productivity trends, pricing decisions and deal strategy

 

2.    Ensure we have the right data to drive execution

  • Ensure availability of accurate an updated data i.e. potentials, customer tiers, targets
  • Maximize the usage of data-driven insights to drive key daily activities of our Sales and Marketing Teams
  • Develop divisional specific reports leveraging support from the central CoEs (Center of Excellence)
  • Track new product launches and other sales initiatives to report on performance vs goals

 

3.    Drive continuous optimization of current business processes

  • Support the implementation of account plans and its monitorization, assisting the Business Unit Leads in following up on actions
  • Challenge the way we do business today to continuously search for improvement opportunities
  • Drive cluster/country implementation of European improvement initiatives e.g. Commercial Guidelines to ensure pricing consistency

 

4.    Drive change management across the organization to support adoption of new systems and ways of working e.g. SF.com

  • Be a change agent acting as a bridge between CoE’s and the business
  • Coach sales and marketing teams using analytics effectively and supportive tools
  • Be an active key member of the RM EMEA Commercial Excellence team, sharing and leveraging best practice across the region

 

Requirements:

 

  • Graduated in a top European University - Preferred in the areas of engineering, business management
  •  +4 years of relevant experience in similar analytical positions. Previous experience in medical devices is a plus
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel. Knowledge of reporting & analytics platforms e.g. Tableau, is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills: ability to analyse data and translate it into powerful insights. High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good project management and influencing skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable delivering content to various audiences including senior management
  • Able to set priorities, multi-task and execute work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Highly committed, a self-driven person willing to challenge the current status quo
  • High team spirit, flexibility and always, looking for excellence
  • Fluent business English and German (written and spoken)
  • Willing and able to travel as required by projects (<20-30%)
