Purpose Statement

 

Support execution of Human Capital Strategy via alignment of HR initiatives and processes. Partner with HR leaders and HR Centers of Excellence (COE) to address and satisfy the strategic needs of client groups. Provide HR leadership and direction to organization and may manage team members at the site level.

 

  • Responsible for providing HR leadership and team direction in most of the following areas: competency development, succession planning, talent management, organizational design & effectiveness, talent acquisition, labor relations, employment law compliance, employee relations, employee engagement, change management and process improvement
  • Coach and consult with management on issues affecting morale, performance, development and organization effectiveness, helping to determine root causes and recommending appropriate next steps
  • Provide guidance and direction to client group(s) to ensure consistent, equal and fair treatment of all employees.  Consult with managers to ensure the consistent application of and adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Partner with HR COE, People Services and HR Service Delivery to address and satisfy client group(s) requirements. Apply knowledge of key business drivers in making decisions related to human capital
  • Present, train and/or facilitate workforce development programs.  Support communication on and utilization of performance management tools & processes and compensation & rewards programs
  • Introduce, lead and influence change management initiatives with client group leaders to address issues that will enhance overall performance and build the overall human capital capability of the organization
  • Conduct and manage investigation of complaints and concerns that could result in legal ramifications; assess the severity, involve appropriate individuals and facilitate appropriate action based on policy and practice

 

 

Specific Responsibilities:

 

Talent Acquisition

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition COE on managing the headcount approval process, reviewing job descriptions, job levelling etc. and general oversight of the end-to-end recruitment process
  • Where applicable, prepare employment contract and any follow through pre-employment preparation, e.g. preparing of announcement notification, etc.
  • Onboarding for APAC HQ employees located in Singapore

 

Talent Management

  • Partner with Talent Management COE in identifying talent and leadership gaps, develop and track execution of development plans, and retention, to build a sustainable talent base.

 

Performance Management

  • Lead the implementation of effective performance planning, management and feedback/communication processes

 

Organization design and development

  • Lead the review of span and layers, work with line leaders on organizational structure to build required capabilities and lead implementation/change management
  • Implement career paths and competency development work

 

Learning & Development

  • Identify learning needs and work with L&D to deliver programs to close skills gaps; evaluate internal/external programs for specific functional needs

 

Employee Engagement

  • Develop and implement programs to foster a strong culture of engagement from employees. Implement culture change initiatives to support the company’s culture and business goals. Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders and provide insights into the pulse of the organization

 

Employment Policies and Benefits Administration /Payroll/Mobility

  • Ensure all employment and benefits policies are current and updated
  • Administer APAC President’s Club and Functional Excellence Programs, including managing the awards nomination and selection process, obtaining feedback from stakeholders and implementing improvements
  • Provide accurate and timely payroll processing for local and expatriate employees
  • Administer Global and APAC Assignment Program and provide guidance to Country HR

 

HR Information Systems/Policies

  • APAC HQ employees - maintain accurate and up-to-date HR information on all HRIS and maintain up-to-date HR information in Personnel files (hardcopy or system)
  • Audit database accuracy for all APAC countries
  • APAC HR Portal – ensure HR policies and procedures for APAC HQ are current and accessible, monitor effectiveness and recommend improvements

 

Drive HR operational efficiency

  • Continuously strive to improve HR operations to increase efficiency in terms of time, cost and quality
  • Standardize and improve HR processes and the use of Technology
  • Develop and monitor KPIs for operations
  • Interact effectively with external vendors of HR related services, if required
  • Maintains BSC ethical and compliance standards

 

Management Reporting and Analytics – APAC 

  • Provide reports to local authorities, as required
  • Generate accurate and timely attrition and HC reports on a regular basis
  • Provide reports, data analysis, customized data/reports and analysis, and ad-hoc reports as requested

 

Support to APAC HQ and VP, HR APAC

  • Employee Engagement Survey and SPARK Survey - follow-up, update APAC Leadership Team on status of actions taken
  • Manage programs and projects, as and when required

 

 

Key Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in a business partnering role, with relevant tertiary qualifications
  • A business and customer focused HR professional with strategic experience in partnering with leaders across the business and geographies in a fast-paced commercial environment
  • Proven generalist/business partner with the ability to lead HR activities across all areas and proven ability to influence change
  • Demonstrated experience with supporting the business to attract talent, employee engagement, organizational design and organizational effectiveness, change management, talent management etc.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, resilient and adaptable professional who can deliver high quality outcomes that are business impacting
  • Experience working in a dynamic, changing environment within a HR team
