Operations Training Specialist


About the Role:

The Operations Training Specialist will manage all operations training system and compliance projects, as well as any other operations related projects as directed by the manager


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage and Implement key processes and projects; develops and drives project plan; builds team ownership and commitment to project plan; keeps documentation organized. 
  • Lead as well as perform as a key stake holder on cross functional teams across multiple spans and layers of leadership; Responsible for team and cross-functional communications as well as act as a liaison between the team and a management level project review board.
  • Must show strong aptitude for technical acumen as it relates to our systems and processes
  • Mentor, train and develop Product Builder II, III, and IV’s in effective onboarding and training strategies as well as the implementation of any new training initiatives.
  • Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement that supports BSC’s Quality Policy, Quality Systems, and appropriate regulations for Operations Training. Ensure employees are trained to do their work and their training is documented.
  • Deliver training and development programs and services including but not limited to the following tasks: Assist in the design and development of training programs. Create training materials, research and recommend training resources and best practices. Assist in the evaluation and optimization of training systems and procedures. Identify and analyze training and development needs of the entire organization. Cultivate strong business partnerships and interact within the organization.
  • Measure and continually improve effectiveness of training and development initiatives. Work closely with Operations, Quality, and Engineering employees on the initiatives of training products and processes; be an active member of change management activities including performing as the subject matter expert as it relates to compliance and quality system adherence; ensure all training and tracking practices comply with the requirements of BSC Quality System and applicable local procedures.
  • Provide direction and support for the Training Record System (TRS) while maintaining integrity of the system. 
  • Must comply with requirements of ISO 14001 and BSC Environmental, Health and Safety standards and follow procedures and instructions related to these standards.
  • Must be able to stand and work on the production floor for periods up to ten hours. 
  • Must be available for periodic night and weekend work.


What we're looking for in you:

Basic Qualifications

  • Three years’ experience in a quality centered manufacturing environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and problem-solve issues.
  • Business experience demonstrated through business knowledge, leadership skills and training compliance capabilities
  • Project Team experience


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in a related field preferred
  • The ideal candidate will have previous experience managing multiple projects of a complex scope and extensive knowledge of and experience with Boston Scientifics Training Record System
  • Medical device industry strongly preferred
