Change Lead, Supply Chain (Japan)


About the role:
We are looking for a Change Lead, Supply Chain (Japan) to lead the operational improvement projects across Capital Equipment Technical Service (‘CETS’) in Boston Scientific Japan. CETS is part of Supply Chain department, managing both supply chain of medical devices and field services (repairs and maintenance).


This is not just a ‘supply chain process improvement’ project; as a Change Lead, Supply Chain (Japan), you will be the driving force to reimagine CETS, including workflow improvement, digitalization and PMI (post-merger integration) projects and more. You will be reporting to Senior Manager, Capital Equipment Technical Service, Supply Chain based in Japan, however, you will have opportunities to directly collaborate with APAC / global teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute cross-functional projects across CETS to improve overall efficiency and productivity in supply chain and field services
  • Drive PMI projects from process, workflow, systems (applications), people and culture perspectives
  • Change management; analyze the voices of customers, convert them to improvement projects and support team members for project execution
  • Reimagine CETS as a ‘profit center’ by designing and implementing new service models in collaboration with Service Operations (SO) and Technical Assistance Center (TAC)
    • e.g. Designing technical service (e.g. repairs and maintenance) as a Managed (charged and value-added) Service
  • Visualize, analyze, and improve asset efficiency
  • Lead KPI governance, visualization of both top-line and bottom line in order to make sure organization strategy plan is on-track
  • Work with SO manager and TAC manager to plan budget, investments, and human resource plans and ensuring all activities are managed within plan
  • Drive S&OP activity with business divisions as counterpart
  • Increase customer satisfaction through strengthening the collaboration of CETS and Business Units
  • Standardize CETS operations and workflows in line with global operational standards by closely working with APAC and global counterparts; new product phase-in, supply chain improvement, regional process setup, top-line and bottom-line improvement activities
  • Achieve CETS organizational goals by bridging SO and TAC, collaborate on both technical and non-technical solutions
  • Increase organizational change readiness by demonstrating change leader behaviors and influencing key stakeholders across functions

 

Key Skills & Experiences:

  •  7 years’+ experience in SCM (Supply Chain Management) experience in manufacturing companies (e.g. healthcare, FMCG, machinery, mechanical etc.)
  •  3 years’+ experience of leading cross-functional business transformation projects in a global, matrix organization
  •  3 years+ experience of management consulting firms or equivalent experience is a plus
  •  Strategic-thinking; ability to find improvement opportunities and make change strategy
  •  Excellent project management skills; ability to manage multiple global change projects in supply chain
  •  Digital capability; knowledge of SCM tools and systems implementation experience
  •  Ability to influence; demonstrate change leader values and inspire stakeholders to be Change Champions
  •  Self-starter, self-motivated
  •  Leadership capability and ability to influence senior stakeholders across functions
  •  Native-level fluency in Japanese language (e.g. JLPT N1) and business level English
