About the Role:

Lead a team directly responsible for the procurement of materials used to assemble medical devices and equipment. Leads team engaged in purchasing components while managing spend and inventory targets. Ensures continuity of supply to meet production builds and delivery of products to customers and patients worldwide.

 

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and implement direct purchasing strategies and goals to maintain healthy inventory levels and mitigate supply risk while optimizing inventory
  • Ensure stable supply chain for the business through effective supplier and inventory management procedures and partnerships
  • Align direct purchasing into internal and external SI&OP processes, ensuring effective coordination of supply & capacity planning
  • Partner with global sourcing, production, engineering and quality teams to drive improvements and meet business goals
  • Collaborate with customers and key partners to align strategies to meet service commitments, capacity, space, project support and resource needs
  • Monitor purchasing processes and supply chain opportunities, intervening as required to ensure optimal performance and compliance
  • Drive Lean Business Process improvement strategy to deliver safety, quality, service and cost improvements across the purchasing organization
  • Establish and monitor performance to annual and long-range budget; monitor and improve financial performance, inventory levels and spend
  • Work closely with BSC global purchasing, finance and quality teams to ensure procedures align with BSC standard policies and requirements

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 7-10 years of Purchasing experience
  • Related functional and leadership experience

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated capability collaborating within a complex and matrix global distribution and manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability to communicate clearly at all levels of an organization
  • Medical device/technology industry experience
  • Demonstrated high degree of integrity, professionalism, and ability to establish credibility
  • High sense of urgency and commitment to execution
