Purpose

An exciting opportunity has opened, for an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Technician to join a highly motivated technical team at Boston Scientific, Clonmel. 

Responsibilities 

Working across 2 shifts the ideal candidate will be responsible for sustaining the day-to-day maintenance of the SMT, and Device assembly equipment and manufacturing process procedures within the PCBA manufacturing production unit. 

Yield Improvement 

Ensure equipment is maintained in safe working order, preventative maintenance and calibration schedules are adhered to and machine uptime is maximised across: 

DEK Solder Print, ASM SMT, Prep Equipment, Laser Marking Equipment, Cleaning Equipment & AOI Inspection Equipment. 

Working with Manufacturing, Product, and Design Engineers on New Product Introductions (NPI) in relation to the timely ordering of stencils, jigs, and fixtures and creating equipment programs for DEK, SMT and Inspection equipment. 

Program and debug of computer-controlled equipment. 

Provide training to other technicians and operators as required. 

Adhere to all company health and safety rules, regulations, and risk assessments while on site. 

Ability to travel to train and support new equipment selection. 

Flexible to perform additional duties as requested. 

Education 

Greater than 2 years in a certified Electronics Manufacturing environment, applying Lean principles and contributing to yield improvement/scrap reduction projects. 

Qualified trades personnel with industry experience will also be considered. 

Level 6 qualification in Electronics, Mechanical / Automation, Electrical, Robotic Technology, Mechatronics or similar.
