Boston Scientific Rhythm Management is looking for a passionate marketing leader who will have accountability for the Marketing Strategy and Execution for the overall Central Western Cluster (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands). This role will be accountable for driving local downstream marketing within the Central Western Cluster, focusing on EMEA marketing strategy adoption, implementation and successful execution of Marketing Programs, and local demand creation.  This includes involvement in setting the strategic direction for the business, meeting revenue & profitability targets, and implementing marketing strategies in partnership with Sales and EMEA Marketing.

Key activities will include:

  • Leadership: Inspirationally lead the marketing team across the four cluster countries, identifying synergies of marketing activities while ensuring resource requirements are met.   
  • Strategic Marketing:  Responsible for managing the RM franchises (EP & CRM) in the four cluster countries, leading the in-country product managers in implementation and execution of marketing programs, and developing or adapting content and campaigns to drive demand
  • Operational Marketing: Supporting the sales strategy development, sales analytics, and assessment, supporting customer events (digital and f2f) as well as live marketing activities such as congresses.
  • KOL Mgmt.: Identifying and developing KOL relationships with the respective sales partners
  • Collaboration: Establishment of effective working relationships with sales management and stakeholders for him/herself and for the team to ensure that our products and services are implemented

Marketing strategy local tailoring

  • Adapts the headquarter (EMEA) strategies to resonate and gain traction at local (cluster & country) level
  • Provides European program framework structures/ standards to build local launch plans and track performance

Local implementation and execution

  • Develops the Annual Marketing Plan for the Central Western Cluster and is accountable for execution of the plan
  • Leads the Marketing Team to develop, establish, and execute marketing strategies and tactics to meet organizational objectives
  • Leads the Marketing team to implement programs & messaging across multiple channels and establishes long-term customer engagement, based on the relevant channel mix (including local social media adhering to local laws)
  • Leads the Marketing team to create effective, compelling positioning, messaging through storytelling, and sales tools that are understood, trained, and used
  • Tracks the financial performance and KPIs to adapt marketing respectively, prepare and lead marketing cluster Quarterly Business Reviews
  • Leads the Marketing Team to ensure legal and internal compliance of marketing content
  • Leads national/cluster customer events and national congresses

Demand generation & customer management

  • Works with Sales to cultivate reference accounts for products and service
  • Identifies customer success stories and works with sales and marketing team to create appropriate case studies and collateral
  • Stays informed of market trends to drive topics for customer engagement and communication strategies

 

Requirements CWC Country Marketing Manager

  • Business or Marketing degree, preferable in Communications or equivalent
  • 4+ years’ work experience in a marketing management function or equivalent position
  • Sales or entrepreneurial experience is preferred
  • Experience working within medical device and/or pharmaceutical sector is required, additional experience within the EP franchise is desirable
  • Strong commercial background and proven track record of successful in-country marketing planning and execution resulting in plan achievement
  • Strong understanding on the opportunities of digital transformation and customer experience preferred
  • Strong business acumen and long-term business planning experience
  • Good understanding of clinical and/or scientific topics
  • Previous experience cooperating with medical societies for joint program development preferred
  • Good understanding of the foundations of the Healthcare market, including reimbursement and regulatory systems
  • Very good project management skills
  • Very good analytical, creative and out of the box thinking skills are desirable
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and German

Location in Germany preferred, remotely based but commutable distance to the BSC office

  • Travel within cluster: 30%
  • Internationally: 10%
