About the role:

Boston Scientific is currently seeking a dynamic and strategic professional to join us as Manager II, Commercial Freight, with the aim of driving business transformation. As the ideal candidate, you will possess a proven track record of collaborating across the matrix, inspiring change, and driving innovation.


In this role, you will provide oversight and program management for the commercial freight program. This addition to our team is part of an enterprise-wide initiative to standardize and modernize our core business processes across our divisions and functions. The objective is to implement operational excellence and assist in the strategic deployment of transformational technology.

As Manager II, Commercial Freight, you will collaborate and influence globally, working in partnership with leaders across Sales, Corporate Accounts, Contracting, Logistics, Information Technology, Customer Care, and other key functions. Your focus will be on achieving value improvement and commercial alignment of our Commercial Freight offerings, which includes shipping terms, payors, and obligations.  

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of best-in-class commercial freight strategies, policies, and processes.
  • Plan, manage, and evaluate freight strategies by coordinating with stakeholders, suppliers, transportation companies, and customers.
  • Collaborate across many global functions to explore process improvement opportunities, prioritize actions, and implement programmatic offerings that meet customers’ expectations and create scalable ways-of-working.
  • Collaborate across all US Sales Teams to communicate key progress update, policy changes, customer impacts, and project status/risks.
  • Interpret trends and review/analyze data. Provide meaningful data to internal stakeholders to enhance customer service and implement cost improvements.
  • Create an environment of continuous improvement through internal/external customer feedback, prioritization, and communication.
  • Partner with Information Technology to explore and prioritize solutions that evolve and enhance our offerings with customers, focused on deliver speed, deliver terms, and measurement.
  • Partner across global teams to explore how to scale solutions across all regions, creating an enterprise strategic roadmap.
  • Schedule and execute planning workshops to discover business challenges, potential opportunities, and prioritized action plans.
  • Communicate with Senior Leadership on program milestones, key risks/challenges, critical decisions, and next steps.
  • Manage, coach and develop a high performing cross-functional team through strong influence management.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, Contracting Operations, or other relevant field
  • 6 years of program management experience
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA preferred) 
  • Ability to travel up to 20% (domestic and international)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations or other relevant field
  • Experience working across commercial functions
  • Ability to translate data into clear actionable items
  • Proven capability to build and manage a high functioning team
  • Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives 
  • Experience working in an agile environment
