About the role:

Boston Scientific believes that to grow our business, we must grow our people. With that as context, the Sr. Manager Executive Development will be pivotal in crafting and nurturing our executive development framework. This role requires an individual who possesses specialized in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in executive development, talent review and succession planning and a nuanced understanding of how this integrates our business strategy. This position is designed for a professional who excels in solving a broad spectrum of problems through technical and functional expertise and thrives in leading projects or steps within larger projects with a high degree of independence and innovation. This role could represent a great opportunity for business partners looking to enhance their strategic talent management capabilities. 

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Executive Programs Development and Implementation:
    • Design and launch innovative executive development programs that align with our strategic goals, industry standards, and evolving business needs.
    • Enhance the effectiveness of existing programs by integrating innovation and insights derived from an understanding of our business strategy and industry best practices. 
  • Executive Coaching and Support:
    • Maintain and enhance Executive Coaching offerings.
    • Collaborate with senior leaders to tailor coaching solutions that meet individual and organizational objectives.
  • Talent Review and Succession Planning:
    • Assist in the preparation of the company’s talent review and succession planning processes for executive levels.
    • Align development solutions to business direction and needs for key successors and talent while driving accountability.
    • Help identify assessment tools to identify and develop potential. 
  • Stakeholder Management: 
    • Convert complex information to compelling business context and advice.
    • Engage with stakeholders across the organization, employing negotiation and persuasive communication skills to influence outcomes and drive strategic decisions. 
  • Project Management: 
    • Lead projects or project teams with moderate resources and balance risk and complexity to achieve objectives timely and effectively. 
    • Impact the ongoing and future outcome of the project(s) by setting direction and allocating the resources. 
    • Guide others in resolving and preventing complex problems; take new perspectives on existing solutions or solve problems where precedent does not exist. 
  • Vendor Management:
    • Oversee and strengthen relationships with external vendors and consultants to ensure high-quality delivery of services.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in leadership development or talent management, with a proven track record in a similar role.
  • Comprehensive understanding of leadership principles, coaching methodologies, and instructional design.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead projects with manageable risks and resources.
  • Exceptional project management skills, with a proven ability to lead and execute complex projects at a global scale.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to link development outcomes to business performance.
