Senior Financial Operations Analyst

ABOUT THE ROLE

 

Reporting to the FP&A Manager, Australia & New Zealand; this role is responsible for ensuring the correct remuneration of commission for our ~250 sales force, as well as reporting and variance analysis for our Selling, General and Admin costs across the ANZ business.

 

The position of Senior Financial Operations Analyst is a full-time permanent position.

 

WHAT WILL YOU BE REPONSIBLE FOR?  

 

  • Ensure our 250 ANZ employees are paid SIP and MIP payments on Quarterly basis
  • Manage the commission internal process via the SAP Callidus Commission Tool including primary contact with EMEA based 3PL
  • Manage the relationship with EMEA Fin Ops and SANDS partners 3PL including the consultant retainer costs per year
  • Lead the implementation of new Commission Tool expected to go live in 2025 including technical requirements and change management across 250 ANZ employees
  • Proactively problem solve issues with system set up and calculations
  • Report against SGA expense across ANZ including assisting headcount planning (eg annual leave reporting) and provide variance analysis on SGA to Snr FPA Analysts
  • Business partnering with Functional leaders to manage their P&L
  • Work with Regional FP&A Support Hub on all SGA related topics including managing AOP loads
  • Investigate and report on significant variances to ensure integrity of information and performance against quarterly plans.
  • Ensure awareness and compliance with applicable standard operating procedures to meet, comply and champion all quality and regulatory commitments of Boston Scientific.
  • Interact with Regional FP&A Support Hub to obtain the relevant financial reports to drive sustainable business growth
  • Ensure providing timely feedback and guidance to Regional FP&A Support Hub for their quality of service and driving the functional excellence
  • Ensure timely knowledge sharing to Regional FP&A Support Hub to build their understanding of the ANZ business.

  • Requires in-depth conceptual, practical and technical and/or functional knowledge of principles and theories in own job function and general understanding of related job functions
  • Has experience in applying this knowledge in a variety of situations to accomplish work
  • Significant and unique understanding of Commission Tool and Sales Reporting processes across GSR / Tabeau / Callidus
  • Become expert in all things Commission and sales reporting process to ensure integrity of commission payments

  • Applies understanding of key business drivers in the context of the organization's industry and how closely related teams integrate with others to accomplish their objectives and drive efficiencies
  • Supports team members by setting an example, coaching and providing feedback and guidance
  • May lead small projects or project steps with manageable risks and resource requirements
  • Lead large project to implement new Commission Tool starting in 2024 and go-live in 2025

Qualifications:

 

  • 5 years minimum experience in similar technical / systems oriented Business Analyst role – desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  • CA/CPA Qualified - desirable
  • Experience with Tableau & Hyperion – desirable.
  • Advanced Excel Skills and Strong Analytical Skills
  • Initiative and ability to work well within a fast-paced organization often under tight deadlines.
  • Project management and stakeholder management skills.
  • Self-starter/autonomous and pro-active.
  • Ability to solve problems and work independently and collaboratively as part of the Finance team.
  • A “change” advocate who thrives working in a dynamic and changing environment.
