About the role 

The Senior Product Manager, Upstream Marketing will be responsible for new product development efforts on the Access Solutions team, part of the Electrophysiology division. They will drive innovation in transseptal crossing products and access sheaths; as well as therapy sheaths and wires for use in FARAPULSE Pulsed Field Ablation (PFA) cases. They will work closely with a cross-functional team and will need to be able to manage multiple development projects in parallel, independently with minimal supervision.  

 

To be successful, this individual must understand the future pipeline of Electrophysiology and Structural Heart opportunities for new Access Solutions products. This individual will also need to understand opportunities that exist in Pulsed Field Ablation workflows. Being able to identify key gaps in the portfolio and recommend internal development pathways will be critical.  

 

The Senior Product Manager, Upstream Marketing will represent the broader development team when interacting with Physicians at Advisory Boards, Innovation Center visits, animal labs, and other meetings with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs). They must identify and prioritize physician feedback and use those meetings to best inform the franchise of future development opportunities. They will be responsible for content creation, content delivery, and turning feedback into action plans with KOL events. 

 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Developing marketing and strategy inputs for Access Solutions product cadence. 

  • Leading Access Solutions market research efforts, including the creation, execution, readout, and recommended next steps from key customer insights. This includes qualitative and quantitative studies; Attitude, trends, and usage reports; and synthesizing data. 

  • Partnering with Access Solutions, FARAPULSE, and WATCHMAN R&D teams to drive cross-franchise innovations. 

  • Collaborating with the Marketing team and cross-functional team members to ensure future development plans will deliver overall revenue and profit objectives. 

  • Defining and executing market research and prioritizing new product development decisions for the franchise. 

  • Building business cases for future product portfolio and new market opportunities. 

  • Influencing Global PM, Sales Training, R&D Engineering, Regulatory, Marketing Commumications, and Digital Marketing teams/functions to set up the franchise for successful product launches, including providing ongoing support to Sales including education, resources & collateral. 

  • Creating collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including focus on Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Clinicians.  

  • Anticipating competitive activities, monitoring competitive pipelines, and strategically responding to competitive initiatives through product iterations and/or marketing campaigns. 

  • Build Quality into all aspects of your work by maintaining compliance with all quality requirements. 

  • Other duties as required. 

 

Required qualifications: 

  • Completion of undergraduate degree (Bachelor of Science or Arts) 

  • 3+ years of successful relevant work experience 

  • 3+ years of prior product management, healthcare marketing, and/or engineering experience, including strategic commercialization 

  • Proven track record of Physician and Key Opinion Leader (KOL) engagement  

  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment and partner with internal/external stakeholders 

  • Ability to engage and influence cross-functional colleagues, even without direct reporting relationships  

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to mobilize key stakeholders and engage leadership 

  • Willing to travel 20% - 30% of time in role, both domestic and international travel 

 

Preferred qualifications: 

  • Completion of MBA or Master of Engineering 

  • Work experience in the medical device industry
