***This role requires an onsite workmode at our Quincy, MA location. 

 

About the role: 
This role provides manufacturing engineering support to the Production department at the Quincy Boston Scientific site which handles medical device kitting, rework, and postponement functions for the company. This role will specifically support the global Ideal Product Flow (IPF) initiative. This entails new product introduction and new process development. This site requires on-site presence 5 days a week to begin with the potential for one remote workday per week once trained. 

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Completes technical activities for new product / process introduction to meet strategic goals of the company, specifically IPF. 
  • Prepares reports and makes presentations to communicate project updates. 
  • Develops knowledge in the area to become a recognized leader in the product postponement space.
  • Understands the business needs of the company, the business cycle, and foresight of emerging technology trends.
  • Cultivates internal and external network of resources to complete tasks. 
  • Serves as a resource for training of new engineers and employees.
  • May lead a project team, determining goals and objectives for projects.
  • Interacts cross-functionality with internal and external customers.
  • Lead and support value improvement projects for Production and for the site.
  • Continually seek to drive improvements in process design, layout, and operational performance.

 

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • 2+ years experience in an engineering role, with a focus on product/process implementation
  • Working knowledge of process verification/validation

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with packaging and labeling a plus
  • Experience with automation equipment is a plu
