About this role:  

Boston Scientific’s Surgical and Airway Endoscopy Associate Territory Manager (SAE ATM) is a regional clinical support role initially focused on the exciting launch of two new products within our Surgical and Airway Endoscopy Division. In this role, the SAE ATM will be assigned to a specific Region(s) to provide clinical, educational, and procedural support for our Single-Use Bronchoscope and SpyGlass Discover Single-Use Catheter system. The SAE ATM call point will be in the ICU, OR, or IR suites calling on the following specialties:  Surgeon i.e. - Colorectal, Minimally Invasive Surgeon (MIS), Bariatric, Hepatobiliary, Thoracic, Acute Care, Intensivists, Interventional Pulmonologists, and Respiratory Therapists.

The SAE ATM role is also a developmental role to prepare candidates to become a Territory Manager within the Endoscopy Division. SAE ATMs will be held accountable for delivering exceptional service through team-driven directives, clinical education needs, procedural support, and execution of new business opportunities that reflect the company’s strategy and priorities. Each SAE ATM will report directly to a Development Manager and will be directly aligned to an SAE Regional Manager working collaboratively with their respective territory manager team.  Additionally, SAE ATMs may be required to work outside primary assignments as required by business conditions. 

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Build strong customer relationships through frequent visits, product demonstrations, educational programs, product in-services, procedural observation, and problem resolution. Relationships will be established with Physicians, Nurses, Technicians, Materials Management, Hospital Administration, and Infection Control.
  • Procedural support in an intense OR/ICU/IR unit environment daily.
  • Working seamlessly with Territory Manager(s), Region Manager, and Development Manager
  • Assisting in professional education activities sponsored by BSC, both on-site and field training workshops.
  • Providing timely updates to Region Manager on ongoing business activities, competitive conditions, industry trends, etc.
  • Managing expense budget and promotional budget within guidelines.
  • Maintaining accurate records of sales expenses, customer files, and field sales reports is required.
  • Submitting any required administrative paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Conducting all sales activities according to Travel & Entertainment (T&E) guidelines, Advised Policies, and Integrity Policies.
  • Occasional weekend and evening trade show and/or meeting participation, committed travel 50-60%

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • 2-5 years relevant business experience including medical device sales
  • BA/BS in a business discipline or equivalent experience required
  • Self-starter, team player, proven leadership qualities
  • Highly collaborative and strong communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Must be energetic, enthusiastic, determined, and goal-oriented
  • Demonstrated resilience and adaptability in a changing environment
  • Excels in a fast-paced, competitive environment
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities

Annualized base salary for this full-time position is $50,000. plus, variable compensation governed by Sales Incentive Compensation Plan (which includes certain annual non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives) as well as the value of core and optional benefits offered at BSC, which can be reviewed at www.bscbenefitsconnect.com. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, and other relevant business or organizational needs.
