This Senior Clinical Specialist position is for our Electrophysiology (EP) business.  We are looking for someone with a strong clinical aptitude who can work in a team environment and possesses good sales skills. This is an exciting time to join our EP team as we launch exciting and new products to the market.  In EP, we offer technologies such as 3D Mapping and Navigation systems, Radiofrequency Ablation catheters, Diagnostic Catheters, EP recording systems, and Intracardiac Access Sheaths for diagnosing and treating heart rhythm disorders. The Clinical Specialist will provide expert clinical product and technical assistance and training to physicians, EP Lab staff, and sales representatives on the effective and safe use of our products during case procedures, and in a manner that leads to meeting and exceeding business goals. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Serves as primary resource for clinical support in the areas of case coverage, basic troubleshooting, system/software development for EP systems and catheters. 
  • Educates customers and internal BSC employees on the merits and proper clinical usage of our products by giving presentations and demonstrations using a wide variety of formats and platforms (e.g., slides, transparencies, manuals) to keep all abreast of the latest product and technology developments for Rhythmia system. 
  • Attends cases in labs of hospital accounts for case support and development efforts of our capital systems and their components. 
  • Provide ongoing and appropriate technical training and support to customers directly in EP labs
  • Visit customers and/or potential customers of Boston Scientific on a regular and planned basis to identify their clinical needs, goals, and constraints related to patient care and to discuss and promote our products and services to achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly sales targets, as agreed with the Manager.
  • Manage existing and acquire new customers in the assigned territory under general supervision of the Manager.
  • With limited instructions of Manager, plan and develop the market for our existing and new products according with divisional goals and objectives, through execution, while optimize available tools (consignment, etc).
  • Cultivate wide range of business relationships with hospital management, purchasing department and hospital staff
  • Responds to customer needs and complaints regarding products and service by developing creative and feasible solutions or working with other related personnel (e.g., sales, clinical research, marketing, technical support) to develop optimal solutions. 
  • Will be required to develop advanced working knowledge and selling techniques eg clinical knowledge of cardiac ablation, cardiac ablation components, technical knowledge of EP technology, advancements, and business landscape. 
  • Analyze and report to the Manager and/or others (monthly & year basis) the market and business feedback by using all available support tools.
  • To represent Boston Scientific values and integrity.

Key Skills & Experiences:

  • Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree in specialty area
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical and sales experience, preferably in the healthcare field.
  • Strong ability to engage and interact with customers in a variety of settings including tradeshows / conferences, market research, advisory boards, and field interactions
  • Be able to attend cases and provide support in the operating room.
  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal
