We are looking for a Senior Product Specialist for our Interventional Cardiology business.  It requires someone with a strong clinical aptitude who can work in a team environment. Strong sales skills and the ability to be coached will assist in making this job a success. Responsibilities unique to this position are having a good understanding of the issues and challenges in the industry and being able to build strong relationships with the physicians and the staff.  The Interventional Cardiology team with Boston Scientific is looking for high energy, driven, passionate people, looking to not just change jobs, but start an amazing career!

In Interventional Cardiology (IC) we design, develop, and produce technologies for diagnosing and treating coronary artery disease and other cardiovascular disorders. Medical Conditions we provide solutions for include: Cardiovascular Diseases, Coronary Artery Disease, Acute Myocardial Infarction. We are able to provide a number of solutions to patients that include: Drug-Eluting Stents, Bare-Metal Stents, Catheters, Balloons, Guide Wires, Coronary Atherectomy and Coronary Intravascular Ultrasound. We have a robust product line and pipeline, and we will continue to make an investment in Interventional treatments.

 

The Senior Product Specialist will have the opportunity to sell and promote company products within a defined territory, under general supervision of the Manager.  This will be accomplished by developing new accounts and expanding usage of company products within current accounts to meet Company objectives and sales goals.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop further as professional sales rep by acquiring working knowledge and selling techniques. Able to tackle a variety of issues, general knowledge in medical device industry (BSC and competitors).
  • Visit customers and/or potential customers of Boston Scientific on a regular and planned basis to promote products and services to achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly sales targets, as agreed with the Manager.
  • Manage existing and acquire new customers in the assigned territory under general supervision of the Manager.
  • With limited instructions of Manager, plan and develop the market for our existing and new products according with divisional goals and objectives, through execution, while optimize available tools (consignment, etc).
  • Provide ongoing technical training and support to customers directly in the cathlabs
  • Cultivate wide range of business relationships with hospital management, purchasing department and hospital staff.
  • Attend meetings, conferences and exhibitions as required to promote Boston Scientific products and services.
  • Analyze and report to the Manager and/or others (monthly & year basis) the market and business feedback by using all available support tools.
  • To represent Boston Scientific values and integrity.

 

Key Skills & Experiences

  • BS/BA degree in business/scientific specialization
  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience, preferably in the healthcare field.
  • Strong ability to engage and interact with customers in a variety of settings including tradeshows / conferences, market research, advisory boards, and field interactions
  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal
  • Be able to attend cases and provide support in the operating room.

Candidates with more experience will be considered for senior positions.
