Principal Global Mobility Specialist
Location: preferred location Paris, France or Kerkrade, Netherlands
Position Summary: Manage and coordinate the end-to-end process of global mobility assignments and relocations, including overseeing tax and Visa/Immigration programs to ensure consistent application and delivery. The role has a primary focus on EMEA and APAC regions while contributing to the global strategy and collaborating with the global team. This role involves overseeing both intra-region and international mobility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Development: Develop and implement the design and execution of global mobility strategies, ensuring alignment overall business objectives and compliance with regional regulations in EMEA and APAC. In close collaboration with senior leaders in the business and HR, develop mobility strategies and alignment to the overall talent strategy
- Program Management: Manage and coordinate the end-to-end process of global mobility assignments, including relocation, immigration, tax, and compliance. Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors, such as relocation providers, immigration firms, and tax consultants.
- Compliance and Advisory: Provide advice and counsel on expatriate policy, tax policy, employee cross-border movement. Ensure compliance with immigration laws and regulations in collaboration with external legal counsel or immigration specialists.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Provide guidance and support to employees and managers regarding global mobility policies, processes, and requirements. Conduct briefings and trainings on global mobility policies, processes, and cultural considerations. Work closely with internal departments such as Payroll, Finance, Legal, Accounts Payable, Travel to ensure seamless execution of global mobility programs.
- Repatriation and Career Development: Provide guidance and support for repatriation processes and career development for employees returning from international assignments.
Requirements:
- University degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience required
- 6+ years of Global Mobility experience, in a multinational environment with experience working in EMEA & APAC region
- Knowledge of international tax, immigration and employment laws
- Ability to work independently, strong interpersonal skills, problem solver and empathetic communication style
- Organized and team player, ability to work under pressure with internal stakeholders and external vendors to manage the Global Mobility programs
- Fluent in English
