Purpose
- Lead a team of employees in the achievement of organizational goals. Guide, coach, direct, and develop direct reports, and if applicable, drive those practices throughout their organization. Responsible for implementing continous improvements and provide leadership for strategic projects and maintaining the Quality System, including Quality Assurance mandates.
- Identifies and assures optimal product and process quality within quality system and regulatory requirements. Understands and applies quality principles to support an effective overall quality system, including initiatives in conjunction with the Sr. Quality Assurance Manager.
- In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
Responsibilities

- Exercises a high degree of technical autonomy through developing and managing an efficient and effective Quality Management System which complies with all current Medical Device standards and regulations.
- Is viewed as a leader in the areas of QSR, cGMP/GDP, MDR and ISO standards within the Quality Organization, making appropriate decisions daily using the Sr. QA Manager as the final arbitrator on critical quality decisions.
- Experience in Distribution Centre & Logistics Quality oversight.
- Experience in driving quality compliance within the commercial Supply Chain (Field Inventory Management, Field Actions, Sales, Marketing, Customer Care, Suppliers, Distributor management, and Servicing)
- Interacts with other members of Management with respect to quality/regulatory compliance initiatives, on-going compliance with all procedures and standards, while championing continuous improvement and innovation initiatives within the Region/Country.
- Leads team preparations in support of the internal audit program and plays a lead role in the preparation and execution of audits by external parties.
- Collaborates and liaises with the Regional/Global Quality Systems Stewards and relevant working groups to drive continuous improvement.
Management Requirements
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in the Medical Device or equivalent industry with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and min of 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Manages professional employees, sets team/department priorities and allocates resources
- Develops operating policies and establishes procedures for team(s) managed; interprets, executes, and recommends modifications to policies and operating standards for area managed.
- Develops and/or identifies new work processes and the improved utilization of resources within the assigned area.
- Assures that appropriate resources (personnel, tools, etc.) are maintained in order to assure Quality System compliance and adherence to the BSC Quality Policy.
- Establishes and promotes a work environment that supports the Quality Policy and Quality System.
