Senior Customer Education Specialist, Endoscopy - EMEA


Purpose Statement


Plans, supports and executes customer education programs that are delivered through the different outlets including BSC programs, 3rd parties and society events. Prepares training materials; develops course content; determines methodology; coordinates the development of training aids. This role is a critical part of the how EMEA will evolve their customer education offering with a strong focus for hands on training for a range of members of the healthcare community. Collaborates strongly with their digital counterpart on developing best in class blended (digital and face to face) learning journeys. Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date. Collaborates with many key stakeholders to understand how we can integrate skills assessments and measurements of success. Candidate must possess strong clinical acumen, strong product knowledge; experience in management of product training, procedural hands-on is preferred.



Key Responsibilities


  • Manage customer education programs through implementation of strategy, delivery of objectives and execution of logistics while effectively working with stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, internal and external, serving as a liaison between key educational opinion leaders and Boston Scientific programs.
  • Ensure field organization is well equipped to educate their customers with up-to-date professional development programs, with input and collaboration from key stakeholders.
  • Identify, partner with, and manage appropriate resources (i.e., product management and marketing, vendors, other key stakeholders) to ensure that programs meet objectives.
  • Evaluate program impact, reassess objectives and outcomes, and plan for continuous improvement.
  • Create a professional development plan with the partnership of direct supervisor.
  • Keep abreast of industry standards and trends as related to responsibility and ensure compliance to governing agency guidelines.
  • Ensures awareness and compliance with applicable standard operating procedures to meet, comply and champion all quality and regulatory commitments of Boston Scientific.
  • Communicate proactively to all levels of management and all stakeholders.
  • Ensure consistency in Boston Scientific EDUCARE branding guidelines.
  • Works with our external partners and others to find more efficient ways of execution through sourcing new partnerships for education
  • Lead the divisional efforts to elevate and drive our IAS investments and decision making.

    Required qualifications: 


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 
  • Minimum 5 years clinical experience, preferably in endoscopy department
  • Technical aptitude and ability to think strategically with appetite for innovation and continuous learning
  • Experience with planning and conducting training programs
  • Comfortable developing and maintaining relationships with physician customers and field reps
  • Strong program management and organization skills; detail-oriented
  • Team Player - strong communicator and collaborator
  • Ability to travel
