ABOUT THE ROLE

The Change Specialist will be a leader in driving and supporting change enablement activities in support of Global Business Services strategies.  This role will primarily support the GBS change enablement efforts, partnering to support communications, establish best practices, and design change enablement content.  This role will also be a resource to consult into additional GBS strategies for change enablement support and delivery of organization-wide learning programs.  This role will work collaboratively across various functions, BSC sites across the globe, and engage stakeholders to develop the individual project strategies and tactical plans to deliver project results.

 

The candidate needs to be a self-motivated individual with demonstrated leadership skills in change enablement, project and/or people management and be able to execute with limited general supervision. Strong change enablement and project management skills are highly desired. 

 

REPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • Apply organization development processes to opportunities and challenges
  • Assist management in business strategy and culture alignment with change management initiatives
  • Act as a change steward by encouraging and adopting new ways of looking at problems, processes, and solutions
  • Apply formal and informal needs assessment processes, including surveys, focus groups, etc. to identify key needs and root causes. Assist management with analysis and interpretation of results and the development of strategies to address issues and opportunities
  • Identify, develop and evaluate learning solutions to address performance needs, with emphasis on a) supporting diversity and inclusion; and b) experiential learning strategies
  • Design and implement solutions for ongoing sustainability of initiatives
  • Effectively lead medium to large project teams ensuring good cross-functional communications and alignment to ensure timely completion of the deliverables
  • Generate high-level plans, communications, and schedules to assist with task prioritization and workload adjustments
  • Lead team to define and adapt roles and responsibilities throughout projects
  • Delegate and manage tasks among team members as appropriate to drive execution of project deliverables and minimize risk
  • Ensure current BSC policies and practices are followed, and accurate documentation requirements are followed
  • Help identify resources required for project activities, develop project budgets, resource allocations and timelines
  • Courageously lead project teams in appropriate decision making through strong judgment and the ability to analyze options and implications
  • Foster valued partnership with the business through collaboration with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders at all levels of the organization to achieve project objectives
  • Continuously capture, apply, and share best practices and lessons learned within and across the organization
     
     
    QUALITY SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
    In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
    For those individuals that supervise others, the following statements are applicable:
  • Assures that appropriate resources (personnel, tools, etc.) are maintained in order to assure Quality System compliance and adherence to the BSC Quality Policy.
  • Establishes and promotes a work environment that supports the Quality Policy and Quality System.

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR

  • BS/BA Degree in related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of change management, organizational design.
  • Demonstrated change management experience leading global, enterprise-wide project teams.
  • Proven adaptability, comfortable with change and with a demonstrated ability to react and respond to a fast-changing environment.
  • Work effectively under minimal supervision, with the courage to make decisions, take ownership and hold oneself accountable to results and works well under strict deadlines.
  • High sense of urgency and commitment to execution.
  • Proven record of keeping the organization's vision and values at the forefront of decision making.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strategic partnerships to gain alignment on project goals and outcomes.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and situational leadership.
  • Strong English proficiency & communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft suites (O365, Teams, MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
  • Ability to create a sense of energy, excitement, and personal commitment to the organization by empowering others, rewarding, and celebrating superior performance.
  • Ability to create an inclusive workplace across many locations.
  • Demonstrated high degree of integrity, professionalism, and the ability to establish credibility.
  • Occasional, limited travel to other BSC sites, some international, may be required. Up to 15%, post COVID.
  • Monitor compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. compliance with FDA, BSI, EEO regulations, etc.).
